The purpose of sharing my methods and process is that you find your own voice and style for developing meaningful documentaries and designing low cost production processes.

At the age of 36 I was making documentaries when a Media School asked me if I could give a workshop and a new adventure started with the discovery of teaching. To my surprise (I always thought I wasn't good enough to teach) the students made more short videos and reports than ever in the previous years of the school. It seemed that I was good for them and to share my knowledge and skills was a great experience.
Nowadays, I give workshops and short courses or lessons, and I am developing games for education too. I am a passionate person who loves whatever I do because I like to know more, to have challenges and to work with others.

Speak Spanish through Conversations: a fun and practical course. Don't say vino, say [b]ino!

With this course you will learn Spanish in a playful easy way: we will look at the words and the grammar as part of a game that we play. So every time we play, we are better at it!

Learning and practicing how to speak a language can be challenging. My method is based in playful learning while creating scenarios in which you will discover the words we need to use and the right way to make sentences in that situation. I prepare the scenarios based on the list of interests you have. Once we can have a small conversation in that scenario, we will repeat it at the next meeting and it will be included in our "refresh quarter" which is a 15 minute revision on all the words and ways of saying that you keep learning. My focus is on connecting the language to your needs and wishes, to make sure the learning is well grounded.

Pitch and Public Presentations: how to prepare yourself

Being able to express your ideas and projects in public is a fundamental ability for your professional career. In the audiovisual field where I have been working for fifteen years, giving a good convincing pitch was the only way to find investors for my documentary projects. Later, working as a teacher at a Faculty of Media and Communication, I had the opportunity to help students prepare their presentations, and very especially their Final Thesis Presentations. All and all, I have my personal toolbox for preparing anyone (welcome shyness!) to feel confident and at ease in order to communicate with the verbal language, the body language, and the visual language.

My method is to trade as much as possible. I want to try to better understand your point of view or your way of conceiving your project. I will recommend movies to watch to arouse your curiosity. I will also give you a certain analytical basis, to better identify the devices and methods to achieve them. The art of cinema is often to play with codes, for that you must first master them. I will try to teach you to take a step back from your own project and to accept an outside opinion.

Regarding video editing, my method is to take examples of short films / audiovisual projects, and put yourself into practice. Editing certainly needs a little theory, but it can be learned above all by practicing. So I will teach you certain methods and certain precepts to have to master. I will mainly follow your project (s).

Advanced film production techniques class covering the following in detail: lighting, sound, colour correction, using green screens, filming in motion, 4K resolution and remote video-editing workflows. While students will practice their skills through brief, task-based, filming and editing assignments, a large sum of time will be devoted to planning, development, setup and execution of a singular film project of their choice. About the teacher:

YORGO is a Belgian, Greek and Italian film director, writer, producer, actor and creator of the Award Winning LGBTQI+ short film Trigger. Yorgo started his artistic journey at 14 years old acting in theatres in Belgium where he was born.
Aspiring for an international career, he moved to London in 2014 and joined the cast of the Immersive project The Den created by the BAFTA-winning director Gbemisola Ikumelo. Following that, he starred in several short films and features ( Remi Milligan: Lost Director, The Adopters, Amazon Prime Naanum Single Thaan).
His passion for filmmaking started in 2020 when he wrote scenes for his own acting showreel. Lacking of authentic on screen representation and a desire of using his voice to raise awareness about a past traumatic event, he created the short film Trigger which was nominated in British and International LGBTQI+ festivals and won the award of Best International Short Film at the Fuse International Film Festival in Kingston ( UK/2022).
The film is distributed worldwide by Gonella Productions and is available on Amazon Prime UK & US as part of These Untold Secrets. Recently, his short docuseries Well Proud directed and produced for Metro Charity (UK) was nominated for Best Community Short Film at the BAFTA Qualifying Iris Prize Film Festival in Cardiff (UK/2023). In the past 2 years, Yorgo has directed and co-produced 3 narrative short films and a short docu series and he is currently in development of his first feature film.

Davinci Resolve est ton ami ! Cet adage représente bien ce logiciel qui peut tout faire : dérushage des fichiers de tournage, montage, effets spéciaux, mixage et surtout étalonnage.
Les boites de post-production cinéma/pub/clips L'utilisent tous les jours et ce logiciel tend à devenir le logiciel le plus utilisé en montage, postproduction général et étalonnage en France.

Autrement moins cher que la suite adobe (vu qu'il dispose d'une version gratuite totalement opérationnelle) il est un logiciel complet en post-production, un monstre de puissance et de souplesse, performant et très ergonomique. Son principal avantage étant d'être facile d'apprentissage.

Je donne des formations personnalisées sur le logiciel que ce soit pour du montage, de l'utilisation en post-production et surtout en étalonnage.

Si vous souhaitez apprendre à utiliser ce logiciel en post-production (labo), en montage ou en étalonnage cinéma, cette formation est faîte pour vous.
