Violin lesson - Learn new ways to love classical music

Music is a language and we use it to communicate composers' message through our interpretation. Our favorite musicians seem to be able to do this with such ease, but perhaps it is not always easy and fun for us. This is where I come in! I would like to show you many more ways to enjoy, to love, to be swept away by the music, and ultimately making violin playing easy. Whether you need a main teacher or just an extra help with your practice or preparation for concerts/auditions, I'm happy to assist!

A bit about me: I was born in Thailand, but spent most of my musical life in the USA. I'm primarily a performer (founding member of Zorá Quartet), but love teaching. I have had the fortune of working and performing with many world class musicians and I'm eager to share what I've learned with you!

About Me

Hello! In my teaching, I hope to inspire you to be more curious about the music, more aware of your sensations, more free in expressing yourself. I hope that with every lesson, your listening will open up and that your ability to be inspired by music increases. I do this by connecting music to every day life, like languages, nature, movies, human interactions, sports, literally anything that you can closely related to.

I will do my best to be flexible and adjust my teaching, within my musical belief, to suit your personality, but I do believe in the saying that "there are no good teachers, only good students". So, I would love to work with students who are open minded :)

I will be more than happy to be your principal teacher, but with my ever-changing schedule (and my style of teaching), I feel I'm best suited as a musical resource - someone you come to whenever you need help, however frequent that may be.

This class is for anyone interested starting learning or gaining new insights to playing the violin. Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the repertoire and skills that are needed for obtaining the goal.

As a musician I am inspired by many styles of playing, with classical music and Scandinavian folk being my main focus.
My goal as a teacher is to keep and increase the students love for music as well as offer necessary and appropriate skills to keep the student challenged.

I am a freelance musician, performing with several orchestras across Europe.
I have recently finished my Masters Studies in KASK Conservatorium, Belgium and am currently living in Oslo.
Passion for music was the main vehicle that brought me to where I am now. But a big part of the origin of that passion came from the teachers I had contact with.

Obviously, violin doesn't come only by itself which means all the theoretical needs such as rhythm, harmonies, solfege, etc. will also be taught.
