In the past i have taught GCSE Biology and managed a large team of teachers. I have since retired from my teaching post and have focused on teaching KS2 students and preparing for the entrance exams in Secondary schools.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. You will always need a blank piece of paper and a pencil for class. Some people say that you need fancy materials to make art but that is far from the truth. Using what you have at home is perfect! We will be taking notes each class on techniques and we will also be doing sketches every class. On the first day of class we will start by setting goals for something we want to learn more about in art. I will work with you to gradually get to that place you want. Art is something that you learn just like everything else, putting in the work is part of learning and is needed in the subject of art as well!

I am eager to help young people feel confident when writing sociology essays. I will place an emphasis on deconstructing the questions students are given by encouraging them to reword the question to offer a different perspective on it. In addition, the main aim of a sociology essay is to convince the reader more and more of the argument you have claimed in the introduction. I want to help students do this by helping them follow the PEAL structure, i.e. Point, Evidence, Analysis, Link back to question. I have found this a very effective and coherent way of structuring an essay. I have studied Sociology for 7 years now, at AS/A Level, Undergraduate Level and now at MSc level at LSE. I was awarded First-Class Honours in my undergraduate as well as 'Best Dissertation of the year' by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I am seeking a potential career in academia so I truly feel passionate about engaging with the lesson plans on this platform and helping students feel confident in their essay writing.
