I am a DJ / Producer and sound engineer graduated from the SAE Institute Geneva. I have been composing and producing for 9 years. I have produced and composed for local and international artists. I am a member of the “WUGS” trio with which I received in 2017 the Swiss Live Talents award for “best Electro / Dance artist”. Our songs are playlisted on radio on One FM, Couleur3 and Rouge FM and we have performed at the Caribana Festival, the Electron Festival, and even the Montreux Jazz Festival. My courses are for anyone wishing to start or progress in MAO / beatmaking / music production. Each program is personalized according to the experience and motivations of the student. I teach the following subjects: - Getting started with MAO software (Ableton Live) - Composition, beatmaking & music theory (MIDI, drums) - Voice recording (Autotune) - Audio effects (EQ, Compression, Reverb, Delay, etc.) - Mixing & Mastering Each subject can be deepened to the desired level and I can install Ableton Live 10 as well as all the plugins needed for production on the student's computer. I have been giving private lessons for over 6 years. I have trained more than thirty students, the most serious and motivated of whom are now able to compose and / or record their own music independently. (links to their music below). As a music producer, I have been working with ABLETON for a long time, but I also have experience with software such as PRO-TOOLS, LOGIC, ... I look at your individual question and build on it. I have experience with Live Sets at once boxes as well as mixing, sound FX and Foley for film and TV. An Ableton lesson can range from: Developing a live set based on backing tracks, live looping, live launching of tracks, midi roll ramming, song writing, song structure, audio post-production, podcast editing, ...

I do not have a degree in languages but I have a good command of English in particular written (I can give courses up to the Cycle Orientation level). I also have a very good level of spelling in French as well as knowledge of basic general cultures of the language (grammar, conjugation, figures of styles ...). Concerning the MAO, I am currently in BTS Audiovisual option trades of the Sound and thus has solid knowledge in MAO, mixing and mastering, particularly on ProTools (in French or in English (English advised)) and Ableton Live; as well as good notions of acoustics. I also have extensive general knowledge about consumer and professional sound equipment. About me, I am patient and I like to teach people. I also propose an individualized pedagogy according to the level and needs of my students. As far as possible (except for busy schedule) I also give personalized assignments after each lesson (including MAO / Sound Design) in order to better follow the progress of my students.

My courses are aimed at beginners wishing to get started in computer music, intermediates wishing to consolidate their knowledge and more advanced people wishing to refine their technique! Composing your own music has always been a very rewarding task. This has never been so true as the present day when you can hear what you compose instantly by using computers to generate and play back your own music. However, to ensure that your music sounds really great there are many principles to be considered. I have had a great interest in composing for over 40 years, composing in a wide variety of styles. Having been a music teacher in a comprehensive school for over 30 years, I have had a lot of very relevant experience in teaching composition to a wide range of different ages and abilities. The class will be personalized to your particular standard and chosen style of composition. If you are a complete novice and have not used computers to create music we can use a web-based programme or a free downloadable programme. On the other hand, if you are familiar with a particular programme that you have installed on your computer we can work through screen sharing and sound sharing to enhance your compositions using my experience. I will tailor-make the class to suit you.

I'm a classically trained bass player with 28+ years experience. I offer tuition on the electric bass guitar covering everything from fundamentals to writing basslines and advanced techniques. I also offer music technology lessons. Whatever DAW you use I will cover; recording, mixing and mastering. Also the use of EQ, compression, reverb, delay and other effects which can colour a mix.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. I offer personal harmonica lessons in a variety of genres. The content is entirely based on your interests and is very much oriented towards actual playing and improvising. With me you can learn everything you need for the blues harp. From the first notes, replaying your favorite songs and special techniques to fluid improvisation and playing together with other musicians. I'm also happy to convey a solid understanding of the music theory behind the harmonica, but if you don't feel like learning theory, that's no problem for me. I welcome adults and young people over 12 years of age. Hourly prices can be negotiated by telephone, the price stated is a guideline, not a fixed price.
