I'm a singer-songwriter from the UK and recently moved to Brussels! I have over 15 years of performance experience both in choirs and with my own artist project, including performances on BBC Radio 4 and at Glastonbury Festival. I was classically trained which helped me to develop my technique and an innate understanding of singing. I love to help singers of all genres from musical theatre to soul, pop and a bit of jazz! Equally, I work with students of all abilities, whether you're looking to try singing, you'd like to work on your technique, practice for an audition, or simply gain the confidence to perform, then I can help! Additionally with 9 years of songwriting experience and 8 singles released through my artist project, I offer 1-2-1 songwriting lessons for those looking to start out!

My name is Carmen and I am an opera singer. I studied at the PI Chaykovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I attended many masterclasses in Russia, Italy and Austria with Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. I was also a soloist in the Vatican Choir.

Music has been one of the centerpieces of my life yet. I am a professional guitarist and singer/songwriter, born in Athens, Greece and currently residing in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In academia, I have completed Bachelor Jazz & Pop Guitar studies in HKU Utrechts Conservatorium and studied with various teachers around the world, deepening my knowledge in music. In professional life I have performed and toured with various musicians in Europe and Asia, I have taught individual students of all levels and ages, hosted group lessons and lectured seminars of modern and folk music across Europe. I feature a variety of musical styles in my repertoire as a performer with wide live and studio experience, as well as an ability to handle plenty of string instruments, including the bass, ukulele, mandolin, greek bouzouk, as well as the fundamentals in drums, piano and percussion.

At the piano, I constantly discover and develop new musical ideas. Composing music is a natural way for me to express feelings, atmosphere, and stories. In addition to composing, I also share my musical experience as a music teacher. In my piano lessons, I want to teach students not only how to play notes, but also how to understand, interpret, and experience music. For me, learning music is a process in which technique, listening, creativity, and expression come together. Therefore, in my lessons, I pay attention to musicality, interpretation, and developing a personal musical voice.

My experience as a composer also influences my teaching style. I help students not only to perform music, but also to understand how music is structured and how a melody, harmony, or rhythm is created.
