My approach to teaching is to make things fun. In that emotional state learning is easiest. Of course I have my Epic Grammar Trilogy, but we'll focus on speaking and pronunciation first. The dutch G is my favourite letter to pronounce; hopefully you'll sound like an espresso machine too in the foreseeable future!

When teaching, I probably have all the answers for your questions - hopefully. My approach is rather casual; if you really want to have a drill instructor, go solve puzzles online!

Are you taking VWO or Havo exams this year? Dutch is the stumbling block. Practicing on a high level also guarantees better results for other subjects (Biology, Mathematics, Physics, classical & modern foreign languages, Art, Social Sciences, etc.). Also supervision of profile assignment and preparation (oral) Literature.
Possibly also E-learning; check / discuss / supervise training online / via FaceTime.
For lessons on location (at home with student or elsewhere), price is ex. travel expenses.
Training can also be done together with others; you then pay every proportional part of the hourly rate. Shown packages of 5 or 10 lessons indicate price per person for group lessons at 5 resp. 10 students.
Other (lower) combination rates are possible, in consultation.

My name is Bart and I have a passion for language and coaching/teaching. Having lived in several different countries I know how challenging it can be to learn a new language and to put it into practice. Especially Dutch, with it's unusual pronunciations and structures. During our lessons I will explain how to deal with such issues and show you that Dutch is actually quite a structured language and a lot less complicated that often suggested.

I am a positive and optimistic person and this is also how I teach. I focus on how to do things right rather than wasting energy on why things are wrong. This creates a nice learning atmosphere and it also makes the course much more productive. I like to have an open communication with my students and encourage them to let me know what their difficulties are and what they want to improve.

When learning a language it is very important that you can quickly put into practice what you have learned. This naturally motivates you to learn more. For that reason I find it important that it is clear from the beginning what the language needs and wishes of my students are so we can work towards your goals in an effective way and make sure you are able to apply what you have learned as soon as possible.

The reason why I like teaching so much is because I enjoy showing people what they are capable of and to help them develop their skills. Another reason is that it allowes me to open the door for you to a great language and culture!

Learn by practicing grammar. This applies to children and adults. It is mainly about self-reliance. Learning to take tests better at school is possible at different levels. Reading promotion is very useful for a good result.

The lessons are given in French or Dutch and are mainly focused on speaking the language. They are therefore practically oriented. The lessons are tailor-made because I follow the wishes and goals of the students during the first lesson.
