I am a songwriter of 6 years experience, having written with unsigned and signed artists at every skill level. I've taken ideas from the drawing board and handed them over to producers as fully formed songs.

Lessons typically run for an hour as we:
- Bring and share ideas (or the lack thereof)
- Gather up some inspiration
- Write together
- Dissect our favourite songs.

About Me

24 YO Bristol-based, UK wide touring musician. Played across internationally in a variety of band settings (trios, orchestras, EDM, singer-songwriter settings.) Quick learner from having 24 hour notice setlists and a precise player; working in tracked arrangements and varied RnB influenced genres (gospel/funk/jazz/blues/soul).

Education

BA Hons in Primary Education (ITE) from The University of the West of England.
Distinction* in Music Performance at a BTEC level.
A 'B' in Music at a GCSE level.

Experience / Qualifications

With 3000+ hours of playing experience in both bands and solo, I have the ability to confidently explain both practical and theoretical aspects guitar and piano playing. I aim to bring my students to a performing standard; enabling them to play with other musicians and make the most of their skill.

My wealth of experience in the live field is bolstered by my experience in the studio. Self-contained touring rig can fly or travel long distances without taking too much room. Plenty of studio experience, providing flexible and high quality guitar and keyboard parts for artists needing precise and tasteful playing.

I am a primary school teacher from Bristol who enjoys teaching all subjects at this level, including maths, English, reading, science and humanities. I also have an undergraduate history degree from the University of Exeter so can confidently teaching history and English to a high level. My aim is to keep student challenged whilst providing engaging and creative lessons and activities.

Because of a sudden transfer to the UK, children may face many problems in English. Especially for children in local schools and international schools, it's necessary to enhance their English since all subjects are taught in English. However, English taught in the schools is different from the Japanese way and it may confuse children.

In this class, you'll learn English from the foundation in Japanese. By focusing on grammar, reading and writing, you'll get a powerful English skill for school. Also, you can prepare for Eiken which is useful in Japan when you return.

I specialise in early modern texts, specifically Shakespeare, but can cover any texts on today's syllabus more than comfortably, encouraging my students to develop their own understanding and personal interpretations, then helping them translate these into the essay-question format eloquently. My creative writing is ratified to a professional standard by the Old Vic Theatre school, a worldwide recognised institution where I currently study alongside just seven other writers. I can comfortably tutor all aspects of the English Language course, including descriptive/creative writing, formal writing, travel writing and comprehension.
