Mathematics is a core subject in the educational system. Unfortunately, many students have difficulty understanding and excelling at this subject because they do not understand the fundamental principles governing numbers. In this class, students will first learn and understand the quantity and quality of numbers, their interactions and the effect of these interactions with one another. By the end of this class, students in primary school will be comfortable with doing math sums and students in junior secondary classes will excel in algebraic expressions.

Hi! My name is Rachael. I am a 26 year old microbiology graduate of a private university in Nigeria. Teaching has always been a passion for me and a good number of this high points of my life are when people I have tutored in the past tell me how much my tutoring helped them. I am a completely hands on teacher. I prefer to have myself and the students interact and make examples using the environment during lessons. I have had tremendous successes with students who are vocal not afraid to talk to me about their problem points, who are willing to go beyond the confines of the subject/topic itself to gain understanding. Prior to a class, I will ask the student to look over the material and point out their difficulties to me after which we tackle, unravel and make sense of it TOGETHER. I am fun, resourceful, innovative and great at communicating the most complex ideas with ease. After all, it is said that if you're unable to communicate a concept to a 5 year old, you haven't really learned it

Education

I got a second class upper Bachelor's of Science degree in microbiology from Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state in 2015. I am currently completing a Master's degree in Food and Industrial Microbiology at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Expérience / Qualifications

My most recent work experience is as a teacher (Co-Learner, Instructor) at Learning Spaces, Ikoyi, Lagos. I also worked as a teacher during my National Youth Service at Community Grammar School, Onueke, Ebonyi state. I have a certification in two levels(1&2) out of three in Health, Safety and Environment Certification. Outside of official work experience, I have organised several tutoring programmes over the years.
