Hi! My name is Daria. I am a professional pianist and private piano teacher. In relation to the student I choose an individual approach and taking into account the wishes of the student.

Drs Irene – Bellucci BBA BMA has more than 20 years of experience as a singing teacher in more than 12 countries and is now a household name among famous singers and actors all over the world – from the Netherlands to the United States. Her enormous knowledge of the voice and performing as a musician and her great didactic skills are some of her characteristic features.

Irene studied classical and modern singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, Haarlem and in the United States with Joan Lader (Broadway musical) and in Italy at the Accademia di Belcanto with Astrea Amaduzzi. Irene's knowledge covers all singing techniques, such as belcanto, verismo, belting, pop-curbing, and is based on scientific research that ranges from classical pedagogues to the most contemporary insights into voice use.

Breath support and sound formation are the indispensable basis for a good, powerful and healthy use of the voice, but many other aspects are important. Please note, I only teach in person to maintain high standards of guidance in technique. This is not possible via video conferencing. Since everyone asks: yes, I did study at Berklee College of Music as an undergraduate for some time, and I do help students out with their audition preparation for various music colleges!

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!

PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. I give lessons (mostly 60 minutes long), which consists of learning proper technique and repertoire according to the student’s level and interest.

I hold a Master’s in Piano Performance from The Hartt School (USA) and trained at ESMUC Barcelona, studying with top international pianists like Adolf Pla and Luiz de Moura Castro. I’ve performed across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, and have taught piano for over 15 years — in conservatories, private studios, and internationally online.
