Sebastian - Brussels29€
Trusted teacher: Hej och välkommen! Jag heter Sebastian och jag är 31 år gammal. I currently work as a Swedish teacher at the Volksuniversiteit The Hague and I love every minute I can spend with my students. A Volksuniversiteit (litt. folk university) is an institute for non-formal adult education in the Netherlands. I am a Swedish native speaker and general language enthusiast. Besides Swedish I speak English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. Having learned multiple languages myself I am sure that I can successfully teach you Swedish in a fun and relaxed manner. My teaching focus lies on speaking the language as much as possible. Immersion is key to language learning. Think of small children. They are language geniuses. Why? Because they speak as soon as their brains permit them to speak, without worrying about making mistakes. Therefore, it is paramount to start using the newly learned words immediately in order to prime our brains to get comfortable with the new language. Do you already have Swedish knowledge? No problem! Instead of building the basics we can design classes that meet your personal needs and preferences. My classes combine speaking, listening & grammar exercises in interaction with me. Furthermore, I show you Swedish food, music and places. On top of that, I introduce you to the best technological tools (homepages and applications) to boost your language learning and take it to the next level! I am extremely confident that you very soon will have the same success that I have had in learning languages! My past and current students would testify to that. I look forward to hearing from you! Jag ser fram emot att höra ifrån dig! Greetings, Hälsningar, Sebastian

Trusted teacher: Singing lessons (lessons for children below): Graduate of the Brussels Conservatory in jazz singing (Master), I sing professionally and am pedagogue for 20 years now. I offer private lessons and semi-singing in Watermael-Boitsfort (corner of the broom). Classes are directed to the desires and demands of the student. Here is what I propose ... Voice technique: through vocalizations and other fun exercises, learn to use your body and your voice in an effective and healthy way. Directory (or not): chosen by the student and the teacher. My preference goes to jazz and all its branches and roots (bossa, brazilian, blues, gospel, polyphony, ...) because it's for me the best training but I'm open and I sing myself (almost) every other styles ;-) Improvisation: the best for the end :-) listening exercise, creativity, self-expression, voice and musicality. Through very progressive and clear exercises, we will explore (if the pupil desires) vocal improvisation. Music lessons for children (from 1 year to + -6-7 years old): Animation of 30 min or 45 min (depending on age) with the same structure that remains, the songs change. Song or rhythmic activity to say hello Gesture song (fine psychomotricity) Songs with maracas eggs (keep a pulse, manipulate the eggs, work on coordination) Presentation of a musical instrument Song to be accompanied by children of different percussion instruments Song to move or dance Pre music theory or recognition exercise of noises or instruments (depends on age) Song to say goodbye

Trusted teacher: NL: Ik kan ook deze cursus in Engels (B2), Nederlands (B1) en Italiaans (B1) geven EN: I'm also able to teach this course in English (B2), Dutch (B1) and Italian (B1) -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- EN: My experience and skills focus mainly on improving conversation, although I also have a good background in grammar if you ever want to work more on this aspect. What I propose is a set of exercises to practice your speaking skills: - Free or general interest topics: travel, hobbies, passions ... or more specialized topics such as politics, culture ... -Vocabulary games: riddles, descriptions, construction of sentences, short stories ... whose words will serve as a basis for other exercises in future sessions to consolidate what has been seen and to measure your progress -Sketchs: staged everyday situations or situations that put you or can make you feel uncomfortable in a foreign language (job interviews, shopping, appoint a meeting, procedures to the municipality ...). Here you will have the advantage of getting ready and having the situation under control with the support of the teacher. -Chansons: we will browse vocabulary, grammar, accents, expressions, cultural aspects and anecdotes using songs that are part of the Hispanic musical culture (Latin America and Spain). -I also use the following games during lessons, but you can suggest others: tabú en español (taboo), story cubes, and other specific games for learning Spanish (with game boards and dice) Have you ever wanted to know what are the lyrics of a song in Spanish? This is your opportunity! I can also help you develop a more formal vocabulary (argumentation, presentation ...). You can obviously choose the subject but if lack of idea I can always propose one and from there work the vocabulary and the pronunciation, which will be reviewed weekly to consolidate your achievements and measure your progress. You and I will take notes during the exercises and you will receive feedback at the end of each exercise. At the end of the session you will also receive my notes with remarks to be revised eventually for the next sessions. Do not hesitate to send me a message to find out more about my availability, choose an exercise or suggest one and any possible doubts you have. For the course at home I only accept courses of minimum 1h30. I live in Schaerbeek but I can come to you. I am ready to move outside Brussels (Wallonia and Flanders); or in this case contact me for a suitable price, including transport costs. If it can make your life easier I speak fluent English (B2) and French (C1), but also Italian (B1) and Dutch (B1)

Sebastian
Sebastian is a really good teacher. Our son, who is 10, has regular German lessons with him every week for over 3 months now and we are very happy with his teaching methods. Sebastian has very empathic approach and is really good in adapting the lessons to the needs of our son. He even manages to do grammar exercises in such way, that it is easy to understand and to remember. I really like the learning material Sebastian uses as each new lesson expands knowledge from the previous, so there is continuous build up of vocabulary without loosing what one has already learned and there is also lots of talking involved. It is really important in building confidence for using the language. Sebastian also coped really well with the situation when he had to start nearly from point zero while doing the lessons purely in German. This is not always easy when you teach a beginner but by a creative use of technology he always manages to make sure everything is well understood. My son enjoys lessons with Sebastian very much as he is very patient and fun person to learn with.

Flute lessons ONLINE with Malvina [Brussels Flute Studio]
Malvina
A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Thank you so much Malvina! Looking forward to our future lessons!

Learn Arabic and Darija Learning ( Grammar, Communication and Writing ) Transcription included (Casablanca)
Acine
I booked my first Arabic initiation with Acine and I absolutely loved it. Acine was very accommodating with our first class. I had a last-minute delay, which resulted in starting the class later than scheduled. He reassured me that it was not an issue and he still managed to maintain the class. My learning experience was also great, he is truthfully the best private teacher I've had. He teaches efficiently, we viewed many subjects for a first class and it was also a fun moment. To sum up, Acine is not the regular teacher you would have at school, he is a great teacher who puts an emphasis on sharing a good moment with his student.
