We will deal with many different ways to approach improvisation in modern music, based on the ideas and classes from teachers like Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, David Santoro, Steve Rochinski and Bruce Gertz. - Jazz and Classical Music Theory, Arranging and Composition: providing many different book and different perspectives on music theory, learn how to analyze music and utilize all the ideas and concepts to create our own music and take it a step further. Techniques for arranging and composition, from small groups to big band writing. - Music of the world: Discover music from all around the world, focusing on learning the styles, the history and the tradition of music from West Africa, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru. We will focus on the rhythmic aspect of different genres of world music and we will create an understanding of the feel of each different style.

I teach basic cello skills for starters from 7 years old to adults. I’m a patient teacher and take care of my students’ learning progress. I have experience playing and performing music from the Early Baroque to Contemporary Music. Nevertheless, my expertise remains in music from Bach to post-romantic and neoclassic composers. I also have experience performing piano Spanish music (Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, and Enric Granados). I also offer Music Theory, Harmony, Solfege, Musical Dictation and Ear Training Lessons. I have some notions on Jazz piano, and I can definitely teach Rock and Pop piano. Nevertheless, my expertise remains in Classical Piano playing and performing.
