Ook heb ik verschillende studenten mogen helpen met het succesvol schrijven van hun scriptie. Doordat ik tweetalig ben opgegroeid en ook het grootste gedeelte van mijn studie en werk in het Engels is geweest, kan ik naast Nederlands ook hulp bieden bij het beter schrijven in het Engels.

Ik heb passie voor het uitleggen van gecompliceerde concepten op een manier die behapbaar is voor iedereen. Dit doe ik door mensen les te onderwijzen in de gebieden van mijn specialisatie (wiskunde, natuurkunde, en universitaire ingenieurs vakken). Daarnaast houd ik van presenteren en schrijven, en hierin heb ik verschillende mensen met succes mogen begeleiden.

Tegenwoordig geef ik coaching voor taal en schrijven, maar ook bijles voor wiskunde en natuurkunde.

TU Delft, master. Afgestudeerd: 9. Specialisatie in dynamica van systemen.
Natuurkunde en Werktuigbouwkunde.
Extra vakken in duurzame technologie, en extra cursussen voor onderwijs en presentatie vaardigheden.

Expérience / Qualifications

Na mijn studie natuurkunde en werktuigbouwkunde heb ik meer dan 4 jaar gewerkt als ingenieur in een vooraanstaand bedrijf van de high-tech industrie. Ik heb meer dan 5 jaar ervaring in het geven van bijles wiskunde en natuurkunde en ik heb gewerkt als docent op een middelbare school. Daarnaast heb ik veel ervaring met het schrijven van verslagen in mijn studie en werk, en ik heb verschillende studenten en werkenden mogen begeleiden tot een succesvol afstuderen door een goed gestructureerde, heldere en taalkundig sterke scriptie.

Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish.

On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Consequently, my work methodology is mostly focused on motivating the student to speak freely and to learn by acknowledging his/her mistakes. From the beginning, I will try to address the lessons 100% in Spanish, with the aim of familiarizing the ear to the pronunciation. In terms of written exercises, it is important to know what are the student’s learning priorities. When starting with the written part, it is important to know the student is dedicated to practicing and that he will also benefit from this in his future experiences. This is why the exercises will address current social problems that allow him to be fluent when he meets other Spanish speakers.

In order for the student to learn as easily and efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, drafted according to the parts that the students wishes to master best (speaking, reading, listening, writing). This way, the student will benefit from a fluid learning process and, with dedication, will be able to excel in Spanish in a short period of time.

I grew up in-between Mexico and the Netherlands and completed a bilingual education in English and Spanish. I passed my GCSE examinations after Grade 10 and attained a final score of 42/45 points in the IB in 2021. After graduating from a United World College, I move to The Hague to study at Leiden University, where I obtained a BA in International Law (summa cum laude).

I started tutoring at 14, but only began doing it regularly four years later at the IB level. My professional experience has also included college-level student assistantships. My approach to learning is influenced by my own diverse background. I have studied under different systems in the Mexico, the Netherlands and France, which allowed me to experiment with various learning methods and discover what works and what doesn't. When it comes to the IB, I especially understand how to structure written assignments (including IAs, TOK essay and the EE) and have several tips to achieve the highest results.

I strongly believe that each student has a unique way of learning, and my objective is to discover what works best for you. Together, we can make the most of our time and make the learning process enjoyable and effective.
