I believe the best way to learn a language is by living in a place. I know, sometimes that's not possible, for that reason my lessons are focused on learning vocabulary and typical expressions from day-to-day life and situations you would experience in the country.
Not a strict academic focus on grammar, more focused on conversation, games, role-play and cultural exchange.
What to practice and know about a foreign culture? Then I'm the perfect option for you or your children :)

For the last few years, I've been working for a prestigious language agency in France. I have a lot of experience working with kids and teenagers. Each tutorial is geared around the needs of the individual child. Some children are visual learners, others are more tactile, while others still have difficulty focusing.

For beginner students, we work with visuals and then we do a lot of role playing, identifying the visuals we revised earlier. One of the games we play that kids love is The Grocer, where they sell or buy the items on display. We also play The Pub ( restaurant) and we use real menus and paper money. There's lots of signing and dancing, of course....

For the older kids, we work on things such as poetry, audio-skills by watching and discussing video clips, and lots more. I have one ESL student who is interested in literature and we tackled some of the easier classics like Hemingway. I also assign projects such as creating an English YouTube channel, a comic book series, cooking presentations, to name some of the best projects I've had over the years.

I have experience teaching through the net. In the past we've used Skype, since it's free (unlike zoom ). I've taught students as young as 9 through Skype.

Sessions to practice oral English during which the trainer puts four trainees of equivalent level into situation thanks to board games and guides them in their speaking.

Each session is dedicated to the intensive practice of one of the tenses of English, the rules of the games are diverted so that the use of oral English is inevitable and systematic. A test to be carried out at home free of charge will determine your level.

Le cours a pour objectif d'améliorer les compétences linguistiques et communicatives de l'élève (compréhension orale/écrite et expression orale/écrite) en fonction de son niveau. L’idée est également de proposer des exercices adaptés à ses besoins. Selon le cas, il est possible que nous privilégions le travail de l’expression et de la compréhension orales plutôt qu’écrites, ou inversement. Dans d’autres cas, il se peut que nous devions travailler les deux. Cela varie en fonction des objectifs de l’élève.

Quoi qu’il en soit, nous pouvons nous préparer aussi bien pour un niveau informel (par exemple, un voyage et/ou une future installation dans un pays hispanophone) que pour des contextes formels (réussir un cours au collège/à l’université et/ou pour des raisons professionnelles). Dans chaque cas, des aspects spécifiques seront travaillés. Néanmoins, il est aussi possible d’adopter une approche globale.

En somme, l’objectif est de permettre à chacun d’apprendre ce dont il a réellement besoin, de façon pédagogique et aussi ludique que possible, tout en conservant un cadre sérieux.
