I specialize in teaching Greek to beginners and intermediate students, providing them the foundation to master this difficult language. I cover topics such as word order, grammar, spoken vs. written Greek, conversational and every day Greek, as well as spelling, writing, and pronunciation. Each class can be tailored to the students individual needs. This class is for anybody who just wants to improve speaking/writing, as well as for those just starting out.
Lessons can be given online, or in person.
Greek is a language that is increasingly spoken, and is useful in many aspects of life, including but not limited to: biology, geometry, medical terminology, etc. With Greece's economy growing, it is an ideal destination to move either as an expat, digital nomad, or as a startup company. I look forward to helping you on your journey of acquiring this language!

Hello, my name is Joanna, I'm originally from America and I live in Rotterdam. I teach modern Greek to both beginners and intermediate students, specializing in speaking, reading, and writing. Each individual lesson is tailored to your needs, as everybody learns differently! I am a native speaker and believe in using as many tools at our disposal as possible: books, movies, music, podcasts, whatever it is that you prefer, is how the program will be tailored.

To start we will first talk about your experience and current skill level and then look at where you could improve on. We will discuss which areas you want to focus on, where I can prepare materials for you to get you more secure in speaking and writing the language depending on what your goal is!

Hello everyone! I hold a doctorate in Italian, have been teaching Italian for 5 years and hold a CELTA teaching qualification. I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Italian for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). My name is Anastasia, I come from Greece and I am currently based in Rotterdam. Holding a Bachelor degree in Ancient and Modern Greek Philology and History, I can help you learn and practise the language. The structure of the lesson varies taking into account each student' s specific linguistic expectations and needs. Always wanted to learn Spanish, but the regular lessons go too fast and/or it doesn't stick, then follow these tailor-made lessons.

Why class for 40+, because we have learned from our own experience how difficult it is to learn another language later in life and that most books/courses are based for younger students.

All lessons are adapted to your individual needs and speed.

You do not need to purchase any books, all materials will be delivered by email. This is because we work with several books and in this way we can offer a lot of learning material and thus make the learning material varied (and also rehearse more often if necessary.)

There is no minimum or maximum number of lessons, you are the one who determines the frequency. Of course you can also do these lessons with your partner.

Lessons are given online via Skype and last 1.5 hours at a time.
Lessons can be given during the day or in the evening.

Do you want to learn German from a native?

I can teach you German depending on your needs. Wether you want to practice your grammar or speech and conversational skills (or all) is up to you. At first we would determine your level and wishes, from then on I will teach you with my study material and we will practice together. I have build my study material while living abroad in Spain. There I had students from all ages that I thought German to. I always try to incorporate creativity and fun into my lessons. Homework is also a recommended part of the lessons.
