I am graduating this month with an integrated masters in Product Design Engineering MEng. I have experience in mathematics and physics that would be beneficial for primary and secondary school students studying Scottish National 4, 5, Intermediate 2, Higher examinations, and the GCSE AND IGCSE equivalent. I also am able to instruct how to use Adobe InDesign and Solidworks CAD modelling having used them for the last 5 years in my university studies.

Hi, I'm Samuel, and I'm a 23 year old soon to be graduate of Product Design Engineering at the University of Glasgow and the Glasgow School of Art.
In secondary school, I used to struggle with mathematics and physics until I had a Eureka moment where it all suddenly made sense in my head thanks to a tutor I was able to speak to. I think having a new perspective on something from somebody that has gone through it before and come out successful on the other side is incredibly beneficial, and hopefully I can make that happen for you too!

My method: Logic before calculation
In the final year of high school, the difficulty is often not the calculation itself, but understanding the problem statement and choosing the correct theorem. My support focuses on three key areas:

Analysis: Perfect mastery of sequences, functions (logarithms, exponentials) and continuity.

Geometry in space: Visualization and vector calculation.

Probability: Understanding the laws and knowing when to apply them.

We will delve particularly into the 4 Pillars of Success in the Baccalaureate (Final Year Program)
For each session, we will work on the priority themes of the French curriculum:
Analysis & Algebra: Mastery of functions (Exponentials, Logarithms), limits, and integral calculus. Particular focus is placed on numerical sequences and proof by induction.
Geometry in Space: Learning to "see" in 3 dimensions and mastering parametric representations and the dot product.
