I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE.

This class is aimed to train
1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university,
2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that.

Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job.

The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic homework and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.

I create a learning experience (content and pace) adapted to your needs: speaking fluently, DELF/ DALF test preparation, conversations to help with travel or relocation or simply the pleasure of talking about subjects you are interested in. We can have our lessons in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying various aspects of learning a language. It's not just about memorizing complex conjugations!

I work with a variety of online resources, all of which is shared with you after the lesson. For structure and to evaluate progress, I also work with certain books depending on the level and the requirement. Unless you wish to focus on specific skills, I try to include speaking, listening and reading during the session, while writing exercises are given as homework. Grammar points are handled as and when they come up.

Ich benutze auch sehr oft Situationen, die der Erfahrung des Schülers nahe kommen, z. B. Orte zu beschreiben, an denen er war, oder darüber zu sprechen, was er durchgemacht hat. Gleichzeitig unterrichte ich den Schüler in den Grammatikregeln. Ich lebe jetzt in Regionen, in denen seit über 30 Jahren Französisch gesprochen wird. Da ich selbst Französisch gelernt habe (und noch andere Sprachen lerne), kann ich mich leicht in die Lage eines Schülers versetzen. Ingénieur en informatique et mathématiques appliquées (doctorat en mathématiques appliquées), je poursuis actuellement un Master en mathématiques. J’ai également complété la formation pédagogique (agrégation) et enseigné les mathématiques au Collège Saint-Pierre (Uccle) ainsi que dans deux Écoles européennes, en français.

Je dispose du certificat officiel me permettant d’enseigner en français. Bien que néerlandophone, je peux donc enseigner sans difficulté en français (et également en anglais).
