Mi nombre es Ana Díaz actualmente tengo 31 años y comencé mi andadura en el mundo laboral con tan solo 16, como monitora de actividades dirigidas, desde ahí no he dejado de compaginar estudios y trabajo, siendo mi primera formación universitaria el Grado en Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte. Con el ánimo de dedicarme en un futuro a la investigación y a la docencia a niveles universitarios, realicé el Máster en Formación del Profesorado, que me dio acceso al Programa de Doctorado Interuniversitario en Equidad e Innovación en Educación.

Durante todos esos años me he dedicado por una parte a la actividad profesional relacionada con el deporte (monitora deportiva, entrenadora personal, …) y, por otra a la docencia. Como freelance he impartido clases en niveles educativos muy diversos (Educación Infantil y Primaria, ESO, Bachillerato, Formación Profesional, enseñanza de adultos, NEE); también he ejercido de tutora particular de más de una veintena de Trabajos Fin de Grado y Trabajos Fin de Máster.
Poniendo mis conocimientos y mi experiencia en el mundo de la investigación y la docencia al servicio de quienes se formaban a niveles universitarios en Educación Infantil, Primaria, Máster del Profesorado o incluso Psicología y Sociología.

Desde que finalicé mis estudios de doctorado, a nivel académico me estoy centrando en mi empleo como docente e investigadora universitaria, así como reforzando mi papel dentro del grupo de investigación FORVI, de la Universidade da Coruña. Igualmente continúo realizando trabajos diferentes como monitora deportiva o asesora de entrenamiento personal en la app de telemedicina Mediquo. Busco mejorar profesionalmente enfocando mi carrera a la docencia, ya que estoy especializada en la formación de formadores y en la investigación acerca de la formación de docentes.

En estos tiempos neurodivergentes, la división binaria de "una o dos lenguas" en los bilingües quizás deba ser objeto de cierta controversia, que los estudiantes son capaces de ofrecer. Siempre he encontrado que los modelos de producción bilingüe (y las omnipresentes diapositivas de PowerPoint) representan un obstáculo para los profesores universitarios debido a su falta de claridad y discusión; simplemente no son identificables tal como se presentan ni brindan mucha información o ejemplos para estudiantes monolingües.

El cambio de código, un subproducto del bilingüismo, es ahora un término que se encuentra incluso en los grafitis de barrios de minorías étnicas ("¿pueden los blancos cambiar de código?", un ejemplo encontrado). Tenga en cuenta que este es un término lingüístico que se utiliza para cambiar entre dos idiomas y no entre variedades locales o sociales de inglés.

Mi posición personal es que no existe el bilingüismo: siempre hay una lengua que sufre desgaste y otra que prevalece, principalmente debido a su posición prestigiosa sobre la otra lengua. Por otra parte, un niño expuesto a más de una lengua no puede ser verdaderamente monolingüe.

Para este curso (muy popular en universidades de toda Europa, tanto a nivel de pregrado como de posgrado), repasaremos en detalle los términos utilizados para discutir el bilingüismo y luego discutiremos, con la ayuda de libros y artículos publicados, quién puede considerarse bilingüe ( ¿O somos todos otra lengua latente?). ¿Puede el bilingüismo ser definido por el hablante, en lugar de por la "comunidad"? ¿Puede ser impuesto por el Estado? ¿Funciona un cerebro bilingüe de la misma manera que un cerebro monolingüe? Estas son preguntas de investigación que surgen como temas de disertación o tesis tanto en cursos de pregrado como de posgrado.
