Organic chemistry is the study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds. Most organic compounds contain carbon and hydrogen, but they may also include any number of other elements (e.g., nitrogen, oxygen, halogens, phosphorus, silicon, sulfur).

Most students struggle not because they don’t know the reactions, but because the fundamentals are not second nature. Working together we can fill in these gaps so that the student is able to approach the problem.

I am an engaging instructor who has the student at heart.

When we work together it is my job to determine where the struggle is happening. The path we take to overcome the pain point may seem round about, but the goal is always to make sure the fundamentals are ingrained so that you can solve future problems.

I will use your work to help you understand how to think logically when approaching Organic.

Lastly, I really enjoy working with students to help them reach their goals.
