I can teach from the basic to high level strategy, tactic patterns and complex end-games analysis.
I include visual and audio materials, games analysis, training sessions and books suggestions!
From first timer beginners to tournament players who would like to improve their performances.

Before starting your journey, please make clear what do you want to achieve and how much are you willing to commit to the lessons.
I prefer to work with passionate people: if you are a parent, I warmly suggest to have a good talk with your child, making sure that learning chess is something that the kid wants.

I give homework to my students: please do follow them! I can be a guidance showing the way to the pupil, the rest is A LOT of practice and exercises!

My name is Massi and I learnt to play chess with my grandfather at the age of 6: it was love at first game! From the age of 11 I self-taught chess with my father's book, learning all the rules, basic openings, some tactics and simple endgames. My school teacher was a great help, analysing classic games from great chess players, from Philidor to Fischer. I started to play school tournaments, then regional and national team events, in school as well with the local club. I also participated in many open international tournaments in Italy and abroad, with standard, rapid and blitz time control. Soon after breaking the 2000 FIDE rating mark, I eventually retired from playing OTB rated tournaments, preferring to play online or OTB in parks and with friends for fun. With almost 20 years of experience teaching chess in schools, one-on-one private lessons, in person and online, I guided hundreds of players of any age from kindergarten to adults and up to 2100 FIDE rated. I also did private coaching and mentoring for tournament preparation, with specific opponent opening repertoire analysis, middle game themed training games and hard core end game memorization. Fluent in English, French and Italian, I can provide chess lessons in any of those languages. I enjoy to play and work with passionate people, spreading the love for this beautiful art/game/sport called chess!
