Hallo! Ik ben Thomas, 31 jaar en leraar Engels. Ik ben afgestudeerd aan de Universiteit van Tilburg in Organization Studies en ben daarna gaan werken in de financiële sector. Na hier een aantal jaar in gewerkt te hebben, kwam ik erachter dat dit niet voor mij was en heb ik me omgeschoold tot leraar Engels. Ik hield altijd al van talen en besloot er iets mee te doen. Ik heb tijdens mijn studie ook in het buitenland gewoon en gestudeerd. In Colombia, waar ik Spaans heb geleerd, Zuid Korea en later ben ik verhuisd naar Berlijn en Valencia, waar ik nu woon. Vanwege mijn ervaring in de financiële sector ben ik ook Business English teacher dus als dat je interesseert kan ik je daar ook mee helpen. Over het algemeen beschrijven mensen mij als een open, joviale kerel die graag mensen helpt.

We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, caricatures, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
