Beginner singing lessons, drama lessons and theatre study sessions

Have a passion for theatre, musical theatre or singing but don't know where to start or feel like you need a better understanding of vocal, acting and theatre skills, this is the class for you.
Each lession will focus on a technique whether that be breathing, singing on support, dialect and diction, character development, learning lines or even audition songs.

Lessons are tailored to the student, if you wish to learn singing techniques. I will devices a uniques singing programme that we will go through each week. The student can choose one or even a mixture of programmes depending on what area of study they are interested in.

Programmes available:

. Basic singing technique - exploring breathing techniques, vocal placement, singing on support ect.

. Musical theatre style singing - exploring contemporary musical theatre, golden age musicals, accent whilst singing, acting through song ect.

. Basic Drama lessons - exploring facial expression, movement, gestures, voice, levels, stance ect

Bring something to take notes whether that be a pen and paper or a laptop, make sure you have space to move around as some session can be involve physical movement.
Don't worry, the lessons can be tailored to the student's needs.

Hi I'm Becky, I am currently a student at Chichester University studying Musical Theatre.
I have been teaching children aged 4 to 18 singing and drama at Victoryland Theatre School since 2017 and have decided to branch out further via online lessons.

2015-2017 I studied at South Downs College - BTEC extended diploma in performing arts (acting) where I recieved triple distinction *.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.

My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music.
No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music.

My name is Matteo Schifanoia, I am a songwriter, pop and jazz singer, and vocal coach with 20 years of experience in music. I offer singing lessons for all levels. My lessons focus on developing body, muscle, and vocal awareness, which helps us perceive and consider our bodies as musical instruments.
My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse study paths followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to the musical repertoire and learning the musical language (jazz or pop or other genre).

The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of abdominal muscles, to the emission of air to the resonance cavities. We will work on the sound, on the extension of the voice, on the high and low notes, on the passage of register, on the control, on the power and agility.
From a repertoire perspective, the lessons will be tailored to the student's needs and interests, with an emphasis on proper stage presence and posture.
