Je propose des cours de piano pour tous niveaux.

7 ans d’expérience d’enseignement en conservatoire, écoles de musique et en entreprise.

J’ai un très bon contact avec les enfants. Je suis exigeant mais doux et très patient. Je crois que l’on apprend en écoutant, je suis présent pour permettre que cette écoute soit au centre du cours et ainsi accompagner l’élève sur le chemin de la musique.

Je m’adapte au besoin, à l’envie et la réceptivité de chacun.
Le bien-être de l’élève est essentiel pour progresser en confiance et dans la joie.
Le développement l’écoute du chant intérieur sont au cœur de mon enseignement.

Pour les débutants : chansons, jeux, improvisation, création. Les liens avec le chant et le rythme sont très importants pour avoir une base saine. Les notions musicales sont abordées progressivement par expérience puis par reconnaissance. La lecture et l’écriture sont amenées par la création et la composition musicale.

Pour les plus expérimentés, la polyphonie et les passages difficiles peuvent être abordés avec différents outils, par la conscience de l’harmonie et des modes mélodiques et de la polyrythmie. Il suffit parfois de prendre conscience de la simplicité pour surmonter les passages difficiles.

Je pousse à aller plus loin dans la qualité de l’interprétation avec des moyens simples pour mieux comprendre la musique et ainsi permettre plus d’expressivité et de liberté.

Je propose aussi des cours d’improvisation, d’harmonie, des
cours d'ensembles musicaux, notamment de polyphonie vocale pour les enfants, et des cours pour des besoins spécifiques, par exemple l'intonation juste pour les chanteurs ou autres instruments.

Je suis un violoniste et compositeur très expérimenté avec une maîtrise de la prestigieuse Lucerne Hochschule - Musik in Switzerland et un diplôme de troisième cycle de Trinity Laban à Londres. Je suis un enseignant très dévoué, qui aime travailler avec des étudiants de tous âges et de tous niveaux d'expérience - l'une des joies de l'enseignement pour moi a été d'aider les autres à trouver leur propre potentiel grâce à un travail cohérent.

Je structure la classe autour de trois aspects différents:
* résoudre les problèmes techniques - intonation, technique de l'archet et qualité sonore, posture
* création musicale - apprendre le style de chaque compositeur / de chaque pièce, développer le répertoire
* interprétation - comprendre l'harmonie, trouver un lien émotionnel avec chacune des pièces
Dans le cadre des cours hebdomadaires, je vous propose des exercices et des outils pour pouvoir faire le suivi de ce qui précède. Nous travaillerons ensemble pour atteindre vos objectifs et votre potentiel, tout en maintenant un équilibre entre la joie de faire de la musique et l'obtention d'une haute qualité.

I teach beginning and advanced aspiring pianists of all ages (3+) with a focus on immersing students in the magical world of music and getting the best possible quality out of them by challenging to achieve more than assumed possible. With solo piano performance degrees from the Royal Academy of Music (London) and the Universität der Künste (Berlin) I am a highly qualified award-winning concert pianist with almost 20 years of teaching experience and a passion for education. My musical learning was also furthered by postgraduate musicological studies at Royal Holloway and serious interests in philosophy, religions, history, civilization, literature, poetry, law, languages as well as many other things. I loved my musical journey which included not only piano but also composition, the violin, recorder, flute, harpsichord and clavichord from childhood onwards. In the last two decades, teaching has been giving meaning to my life and I enjoy helping others to find fulfillment as well as joy in their learning.

My teaching approach is comprehensive, builds up confidence and incorporates a multidisciplinary orientation thanks to which students get promptly enthused over their learning. There is a focus on enhancing musical understanding, developing or improving reading skills, building up technique, expanding repertoire in a healthy way and foundationally preventing or sorting out injuries as well as pain-related problems. Although my teaching style is primarily quality-oriented with regards to skills, I believe that happiness, confidence, results and a sane sense of achievement are important components to balance in holistic education and offer a non-judgemental, patient, kind, equality-oriented, multicultural environment in which learning can thrive.

I encourage students to perform in concerts, festivals, exams and competitions. Many have won prizes in numerous competitions and passed exams with distinctions. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Having taught students of all ages and different levels of musicianship, I am pleased to say that I have built long-lasting relationships with many of my students. With an emphasis on creativity and student input; my lessons allow students to discover their own playing style and musical direction.

I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy what they’re doing, and I incorporate this into my teaching style. I strongly encourage my students to bring their own ideas and suggestions to the lessons; that way they can learn a piece of music that they really like. With a background in classical music, I underpin my lessons with useful technical exercises that encourage dexterity, time-keeping and fluency.
