The purpose of this course is to enable students to establish a good foundation of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese language (Mandarin), and to give students a preliminary understanding of Chinese culture. Students will learn Chinese Pinyin, Chinese character radicals and strokes, establish Chinese vocabulary, and continuously strengthen their Chinese reading ability. The focus of this course is to teach daily Chinese conversations and use Chinese as classroom activities. Focus on listening and reading simple common Chinese words.
