I am Léonie from Germany and studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. I come from a big family with four younger siblings and and am really interested in community and people. Besides my passion for art and design, I am attracted by cultures and languages as I am learning Dutch and French at the moment.

Guten Tag!

Do you struggle with German at school or do you just want to improve your skills in this wonderful language? My name is Isabel and I am a native German speaker who can help you.

I already have experience with tutoring kids (math and English, 12 - 17 years old) in Germany. While for some Germans it might be hard to understand all rules of the complex grammatical structure I will certainly be able to help you since I studied Latin for 6 years and have learned other languages as well.

Unless you are a beginner we will only speak German so you can fully immerse yourself in the language. I will give small practices for the next lesson so that you can additionally study on your own.

I specialize in tutoring English and German grammar as well as pronunciation. I keep track of a level of progress and make sure my students get their personalized material as well as the support they need from me. I assign homework if needed / requested and will make sure my students get a fitting program to increase their language level as efficiently as possible. You can contact me for extra German lessons at any level. This may include speaking, reading and writing skills, but also grammar, literary history or exam training.

I myself have a broad German education: MO-A, MO-B and doctoraal.
I have provided German lessons for the Scheidegger Institute, the Educational Center, in-company training and students of VCL The Hague.
In addition to German, I teach Dutch up to and including the level of secondary education and NT-2 to non-Dutch speakers.

I do not assume fixed teaching methods, but tailor the teaching material to you as an individual student as optimally as possible.
In doing so, I make good use of my knowledge from other courses: coaching, counseling, mediation and didactics.

As a retiree I can freely dispose of my time and therefore I am flexible in terms of dates and class times.
In principle, a lesson lasts one clock hour. This can be extended if desired.
I can always be contacted for interim questions.

Finally, I can mention that I am a 'stacker' myself, who from the age of 21 to 55 did all his studies in the evenings in addition to a full-time job.

Languages are not only an awesome skill to have, but they also act as a doorway into life and success. Speaking several languages enables you to connect with people worldwide. From my own experience as a trilingual, languages have helped me discover cultures and give me the feeling of truly belonging to a community even when I am far from home. Languages give you the courage to plant your roots in new soil no matter where you go.

Hello!
My name is Alice and I'm from Geneva. I just arrived in the Hague to study hospitality management and Business.
I would love to give French, English, or German courses (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, discussion, reading, oral and written comprehension).

As French is my first language and I studied French until I graduated from high school, it's for me more than natural to speak French and teach it.
Having lived in Germany for a few years and having passed exams I was certified with the B2 Telc certificate in grammar. It will be a pleasure to help with the German language (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, discussion, reading, listening, and writing) as I have been very interested in this language and German culture.

Finally, I can also offer English classes as I have the C1 level and have been living in New Zealand for a year as well.
Being trilingual has proved to me how important, and enriching is it to speak many languages at a professional level but also as a personal one to understand other cultures and meet so many people.

A language is the key to communication and in the interconnected, globalized world that we find ourselves in, a language can really broaden your horizons and extend your web. In addition, a new language also brings culture with it and a vast array of new traveling opportunities.
However, despite all of these advantages, learning a language can be challenging and demotivating, in particular when it is studied without being in touch with native speakers and the corresponding culture that a language brings with it.
