Tutoring in History-Geography and exam preparation

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I have been a history and geography teacher for 8 years and have taught at all levels, from middle school to high school. I offer homework help, methodology courses, refresher courses, and preparation for the Brevet des Collèges and the BAC. I can also teach History in higher education, specializing in Antiquities, a field in which I am preparing a thesis.
I teach using multiple intelligences to enable students to develop and understand the various skills assessed, allowing the student to use different learning tools.
Before starting, I suggest a one-hour educational meeting with the student and their parents in order to target the latter's needs in order to better understand the methods to be implemented and the skills and knowledge to be consolidated.
During the lessons, we will work according to the needs of the student, but generally these are the concepts and skills to be consolidated, either by reviewing the different stages of the lesson or by trying to understand them through other teaching methods, all supported by different examples. The objective is certainly to learn but above all to understand what is requested and expected through the course, by making the link with the methodology.
Finally, the student must practice progressively in order to consolidate the various skills that will become more complex as the school year progresses. I consider that the concept and the skill(s) are acquired when the student no longer needs my help and is independent in their success.

SES second, first, final year with an experienced teacher graduated from HEC and La Sorbonne
With several years of experience as an economics teacher in Canada and as a SES teacher in France, I have developed the educational tools necessary to support high school students towards their success. A graduate of HEC-Montréal and with a master's degree in Economic and Social Sciences from the Sorbonne, I am fully familiar with the concepts of economics, sociology and political science in the program. Economics, sociology, political science often seem very abstract. I won't detail my CV but my atypical background allows me to provide concrete elements allowing students to understand how theories fit into reality. In addition, I have a great passion for writing (novels, stories, short stories). Since exams (unfortunately) boil down to an essay, it is essential for students to master how to articulate their knowledge both in form and content. My multi-skilled assets therefore allow me to offer what students need in order to achieve their goals.

Humanities Based Subjects Tutor; Geography & History.
Many students struggle with essay writing and performing in humanities based subjects such as geography and history, which can be extremely stressful as these subjects are often mandatory for the curriculum and in order to pass high school. I want to teach students who struggle with subjects in ways that are suited to them personally in order to see them progress and succeed so that they are able to gain independence from me in the subject.
