I give singing lessons for all levels from beginners to advanced professional singers. Since 2001 the focus of my vocal work and my teaching has been the research and development of a body memory of the vocal tract and the various resonance bodies. What does it mean? That everyone should have the opportunity to expand and maintain their vocal skills in order to be able to choose their own healthy way of singing, rather than being restricted by inexperience and chance. Sounds nice, doesn't it? So, that is my goal: to teach you with competence and passion. So if you want to develop your skills and learn to conscientiously control your voice, and if you want to bring fun, passion for the music and discipline into the game, I am sure that I am right for you. I am a very motivated singing teacher and singer with a degree in opera, modern singing and pedagogy (in addition to composition and cello). Lessons are available individually in German, English or Italian, in person or online.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. In our Oud class, I will guide you through everything from basic to advanced techniques. We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical journey My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run.
