About Me
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I started DJing alone in my garage when I was 14, getting my first gigs for school parties and b-days. My first setup was an old Toshiba computer where I would use the trackpad on Virtual DJ software to mix two tracks together, it was very archaic, but it quickly allowed me to get comfortable with almost every imaginable DJ setup. My philosophy as a DJ has always been the same:
"You are not DJing to show people how technically or musically great you are, you are DJing to make people enjoy themselves on the dancefloor, and that's the only thing you need to keep in mind in every second while you're working on a gig. Everything else is secondary. People won't remember how many obscure tracks from 1997 post-dubtrance-protodubstep you played at the same time on three-vinyl-decks or whatever, they won't remember how perfect your transitions were, they mainly will remember if you did make their asses, heads and feet dance on the night they saw you."
That being said, having your own musical identity and your own DJing style are also important elements, so we will work on those different aspects.
Regarding Sound Engineer courses, I have been graduated at IAD School in Belgium, and my specialties are mixing/mastering electronic music using Ableton mainly; I also teach software & hardware production techniques.
Management & communication skills are also a helping factor to stand out from the crowd in the music industry, so I can help you on these points too. Having your own label or collective are also helping factors in the sector, so we can take a look at appropriate structures for you depending on your musical identity.

Produce a track from A to Z (Pop / RnB / Hip Hop)
What are the steps to compose an entire song? Where do we start? How to make it sound "pro"? How can I reproduce the sounds I imagine? How do we know when we're done? How do you know which tools and techniques to use and when?
The questions are many when it comes to producing a track and even more are the answers, but don't panic! There is a solution.
After several years of making music, I ended up synthesizing a step-by-step method that allows you to produce a song from the first ideas to the final result that you can make listen to your loved ones, or your fans!
In particular, you will learn to:
- Prepare your work session to save time and make your life easier
- Compose and produce percussion that sounds professional and rich
- Find interesting chord sequences even without knowing how to play an instrument
- Find melodies that stick in your head
- Build an arrangement and finish a piece when you're stuck and can't move on
- Pre-mix your track so it sounds great wherever you listen to it
- Know which plugin to use and when
To take this course, you don't have to know how to play an instrument, master recording software or have the same software as me. No matter your level, I will teach you all the techniques you need to know to compose songs that you can be proud of by adapting to what you already know and conforming to your desires and your objectives.
In other words, tell me what your needs are and I'll adapt my lessons accordingly :)
Glad to have you as a student,
Arthur.

Private lessons Home studio, Ableton, Music production and Audio mixing
Are you passionate about music?
Are you an accomplished musician or DJ and want to increase your production possibilities?
Or are you just new and creative and don't know where to start?
Are you stuck and often having trouble finalizing a song?
Do you want a clear and structured follow-up without stuffing yourself with daunting manuals, confused youtube tutorials or overpriced training?
If you recognize yourself in these questions, I suggest you accompany you in the vast world of audio-digital and music production in home studio.
Because yes, nowadays, you can do everything from home, from the idea of a song to its distribution on streaming platforms.
But on the other hand, despite the increasingly efficient hardware and software innovations, it is very difficult to find your way around, especially when you are just starting out.
I know, I've been there too.
Typical course and examples of courses:
Each student has different expectations and desires.
The advantage of private lessons is that I can adapt to your profile, whatever your starting level or your age.
In general, the first free course will allow you to get to know each other better and identify precisely your objective and your blockages.
I can then better respond and identify the key steps to achieve.
The theory is good but the practice is a thousand times more important.
We quickly set foot in the stirrup.
You are in front of the machine ready to do battle, and I stay by your side to guide you.
The courses then take place according to various learning axes determined together according to your profile:
- Discussion on the best material for your project, according to your personal objectives and your budget: Hardware, DAW, plugins...
- Familiarize yourself with DAW (“Digital Audio Workstation”): I work mainly on Ableton Live or Protools.
I can possibly teach you the basics (synthesis, composition, audio processing, signal flow) on Logic Pro.
Because it is important to familiarize yourself with the tool as best as possible and not to lose motivation in the face of what can look like a "gas factory" all in all quite intimidating for a novice in the matter.
This revolves around the following themes:
- Quick handling of any virtual instrument (VST Synth, sampler)
- How to record: your voice, external sounds, any other instrument (choice of microphone and placements, stereo, what to consider, mistakes to avoid ...)
- Compose a first song quickly
- Musical composition (tone, rhythm, melody and chord construction)
- Audio processing adapted to sound design or mixing (EQ, Compression, Reverb, Distortion, Sidechain, layering, automations...)
- Post-production (Mixing & Mastering): depending on your level,
Introduction to these trades:
What sets it apart from production?
Awareness of studio acoustics
Know how to read and interpret a waveform and frequency spectrum
Learn critical listening
More advanced course: work methodology, level management, Loudness, Mid / side, referencing
The benefits of medium-term support:
- obtaining commercially viable professional quality music, whatever your initial background and musical style
- greater clarity and autonomy in your future choices: you will be able to ask yourself the right questions
- an organization in all circumstances to remain productive and without inspiration breakdown
- and, overall, a progression in your artistic journey.

NEY, NAY, REED FLUTE, LESSONS FOR ALL STUDENTS BY TURKISH TEACHER
Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style.
Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

Guitar Teacher on electric and acoustic guitar for all levels from 3 to 99 years old
I started playing guitar in September 1996.I have performed extensively, including tours in a variety of bands, as a rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, and composer. I have studied with private teachers or on my own, carefully selecting my books and teaching methods.I can teach pop and rock guitar in the broadest sense of the term, whether through pick playing or finger-picking. In addition, I have extensive knowledge of production, mixing, editing, and electronic music, which makes me very knowledgeable about effects pedals for electric guitarists. However, I teach both folk and electric guitar. I have been giving private lessons since 2008, alongside my life as a professional musician.

Music Theory and Ear Training Classes - Teoria e solfeggio
Hello!
Being a singer and a singing teacher, many many times I have found myself in the situation of having to work on ear training, or solfège, or music theory... or all the above listed!
Approaching music and having no clue of these elements can totally be intimidating and off-putting, but in 2023 I feel like it’s a pity that these subjects still are looked at with such a fear. I want to prove to you that building this basic knowledge can be easy, accessible, and not heavy at all!
My program is not fixed: I’ll build it on your specific needs, whether they are preparing an exam, curiosity, or getting better at pitch matching... we will discuss it together. I have many books and materials, and I honestly prefer to draw blackboards by myself a lot of times. Unless you want to, I won’t ask you to buy any material, so the only cost that you will have to sustain is for the time of the class.
Private course of Piano/Composition/Computer Music with AppMuse
< Learning Piano is not merely about playing the piano >
Before starting to learn the piano, it’s essential to recognize that :
'' What we are actually learning is "Music", but not only "Piano". ''
The goal of learning any instrument is to acquire the language of music, enabling us to express ourselves and enjoy music with others. Playing the piano is for creating beautiful sounds, not really for developing finger speed or strength. That’s the function of gym.
< Music is like cooking >
When we cook, to make roast beef tender, of course, it’s nice to have a tender heart, but without knowing how to control the temperature, the roast beef won’t become tender merely by our tender heart.
By only adding salt, the dish won’t be sweet. Similarly, simply playing or writing a C major triad chord won’t convey a sorrowful feeling.
To create the feeling we want, no matter how much sentiment we have in our hearts, to convey it via music, it needs to be translated into the language which the piano can understand, which means, how we press and lift the keys and pedals. Similarly, when we compose, it needs to be transferred into chords, and notes we write.
< Difference between an audience and a musician >
There is a common belief that a musician can make music with sentiment or feeling. While it’s partially true, the most essential thing is knowing ‘’How’’ to create the sound that conveys the feeling we want, rather than merely knowing ‘’What’' feeling we want to convey.
The understanding of the mechanism behind music is essential, as cooking, and that is the difference between an audience and a musician. As an audience, one can simply feel the music. Like a chief who knows how to create a specific flavor to convey, a musician knows how to create the sound which can convey the feeling we want. While knowing which feeling we want is great, it’s merely the first step. Your emotions are not too different from Chopin, Beethoven, Adele or Taylor Swift, otherwise, they can’t resonate with you. But they know how to create the sound that conveys the feeling they want to their audience.
< Course Content >
I consider my course to be a form of "Music Consultation" because it contains a wide range of subjects that are essential to a professional musician. While we focus on piano playing, there are also music theory, music history, instrument construction, ergonomics for performers, analysis of composer styles, composition, arrangement, recording, MIDI, computer music, the physics of sound, and more.
In avoid of confusion, let’s still call my course as "Piano Course”.
< Duration >
For each course, I will reserve at least 70 minutes in my schedule for you, including 60 minutes of class time and an additional 10 minutes for discussion and any questions you may have. This will ensure that your courses are not rushed by the next student. This ensures that there is enough time for you to solve your piano and music problems.
< Recording >
I highly encourage my students to record their progress. This can provide an objective standard for comparison and help you analyze your playing precisely. In my nine years of experience teaching music, I've found many students, including those advanced, already play certain sections very well, while other sections may not be not well enough. But they still try to improving those fine sections, while not aware of those weak sections.
Without an objective reference, it’s hard to distribute our effort precisely. This can lead to not only unstable performance, but also practicing without a precise goal can easily reduce enthusiasm. Recording your results and comparing them with those recordings you like on YouTube or Spotify can be an effective way to analyze your playing and set precise goals.
If you have a digital piano, I can help you produce a video of your performance for each session. This can be a tangible record of your efforts and you can share it with your friends and family via YouTube or other platforms.
