This is a class for someone who wants to learn something new. With an academic background in History, policy, and gender studies, I offer both specialized sessions targetted on specific concepts as well as broader discussions on brewing ideas and world affairs. With training and certification in Indian classical dance form, I have conducted lessons in dance - classical (namely Kathak), western freestyle, and Bollywood. I am also a free-thinker who enjoys literature and poetry - both reading and writing looking at the classics from around the world and contemporary writing. I strongly believe in learning a concept at its core and enjoy the process of tutoring and learning.

I enjoy learning and sharing knowledge. I am a history buff with a love for dance and writing. I am curious and always in search of learning new things. I strongly believe that although performance and results are extremely important, the process and journey is equally crucial. In my personal and professional life, I lay emphasis on the processes.

I finished my undergraduate studies with a major in History and minor in Sociology and anthropology from Ashoka University in India. Currently, I am pursuing a masters in Policy and gender studies at the London School of Economics and Political Studies (LSE).

In this class, I would introduce students to a variety of dance styles coming from India. This includes Bollywood, Desi Hip-Hop, folk and classical fusions, and Indian classical styles such as Kuchipudi. If learning about different cultures interests you, or you miss dancing in South Asian styles, I teach all levels from beginner to advanced and would be happy to accomodate for any needs. Each class involves one short choreography, which by the end of a 60-minute class you would be able to master.
