My students (usually aged between 5 to 60 :)) have a lot of opportunities to practice what they've learnt (whether it's a new idiom or grammar structure) in-class through casual conversations or role-play activities. Currently in Master in Multilingual Communication (French, English, German) at the ULB, I graduated as a translator at ISTI in 2015 and therefore have a very good knowledge of the three languages studied during my bachelor.
