Philosophy and Film – Appreciation and Essay Tutoring is an interdisciplinary course designed for learners who are curious about the deeper meanings behind cinema. Through selected films—ranging from classics to experimental works—we will explore philosophical themes such as identity, freedom, morality, memory, and the absurd. Each session blends film appreciation with critical thinking, guiding students to see how cinema can express, challenge, and reshape philosophical questions in ways that are emotionally and intellectually powerful. In addition to discussion-based learning, the course provides one-on-one or small group essay tutoring to support students in articulating their thoughts through writing. Whether you aim to develop academic essays, creative reflections, or structured reviews, this course helps you build the analytical and rhetorical skills needed to engage with film as a form of philosophical expression. Ideal for high school students, university applicants, or anyone interested in deepening their understanding of both philosophy and film.

Creative Writing is a subject for those with imagination, talent, and a passion for literature, film and television, poetry and so much more. Whichever pathway you wish to discover, this class will give you the necessary skills to develop and explore different styles of writing, giving you an example of industry-standard work. This class can help you work towards English Language/Literature/Creative Writing qualifications at many different levels, hopefully inspiring you to pursue a university education or career in this field. I teach Davinci Resolve and Premiere Pro from beginner to advanced. In the beginner and intermediate courses, all the important basics are covered and practiced using practical applications. The advanced courses go into finer details, such as advanced editing techniques or shed light on specific processes such as proxy workflows or colour management. Structure: The technical lessons are structured in 1 hour modules, using practical examples and allow time for experimentation and questions. I also teach editing theory and creative strategies across many different genres and styles. These are less structured and are tailored to specific needs. Open Sessions are also possible, where you may bring along a personal project and I will offer you technical assistance, feedback or tips.

Find your movie Every great filmmaker started experimenting at some point. In this workshop we will make our own 1-minute documentary film.
