After doing A-levels in biology, chemistry and Physics I completed a MSc (Hons) in Biotechnology and then a PGCE. I have been teaching for ten years and have completed my QTS. I teach both Chemistry and Biology. As a teacher it’s important to me that my students enjoy chemistry and science. I use a variety of teaching methods to improve their understanding and build their enthusiasm. I plan the lessons in advance and organise a worksheet that I may need, plus there will also be tests to conduct so that I can monitor the progress of my students.

My name is Ivan, I am 29 years old, I give private lessons in Physics-Chemistry and Mathematics in London. I was a student of preparatory classes in mathematics and I have a Master of Physics from the university and a good experience in teaching both in mathematics and physics-chemistry. I am now a full time tutor in London, teaching these two subjects in private lessons.

About me: I am a French student, doing a PhD in bioengineering at Imperial College. I went to high school in Paris, and I obtained my Baccalaureate with honors. I did my Bachelor's and Master's in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL and I spent 6 months at Harvard. I am used to teaching, having been a tutor during my master. I enjoy helping students to understand their mistakes and to reinforce their level in scientific subjects.

I offer private lessons in Chemistry to school students following French, British, IB or American systems. Being a PhD-holder in Chemistry from Imperial College London, I also offer support to chemistry students at university level.
Classes are delivered online via Zoom.

In my classes:
- I encourage asking relevant questions and I am willing to repeat explanations as much as necessary.
- I use technological tools and web interfaces to provide visual support to verbal explanations, which I consider a key part of effective teaching.
- I share my own, tailored, class notes and encourage the student to take notes him/herself as practice.
- We solve problems and I also assign homework and correct it in the following lesson.

After my classes, I share my notes with my students to help them retain the information and revise.
