Lessons can be classical-focused, mixed-style, or aimed at specific short-term goals (a piece, an exam, an audition, a recital). I can also help with collaboration skills for singers/instrumentalists and accompaniment preparation.

I’m a professional pianist and piano teacher with around 10 years of teaching experience, and I also work in opera/stage directing and acting. That background shapes how I teach: we don’t just “learn notes” — we build an artist.

In my lessons, sound and technique matter, but so does presence: musical intention, timing, character, style, and the ability to communicate something to a listener. Even if you’re a beginner, you’ll learn how to play with meaning, not on autopilot.

musicianship: breathing, timing, character, narrative, stage mindset

ABRSM/Trinity preparation (programme + musical understanding, not just “pass the exam”)

I teach children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to advanced players. Some students want long-term progress; others come with a specific goal (exam, audition, a piece, returning after a break). I adapt to how you learn, and I’ll be direct when it helps you move forward.

Hello!! :) My name is Clara. I'm from Spain, but I'm studying violin at the university here in Vienna. I have more experience with children, but I can also work with adults. :) My goal is to understand music, have fun, and, of course, learn the great and beautiful world of the violin.
I also study viola and piano at the same time, and can also teach at the basic level.
I can give lessons in German, Spanish or English!
Ear training, theory, solfeggio and things like that are of course an important part of my teaching.

I have more than seven years of experience in teaching violin, viola, music theory and complementary piano, so no matter what level you are, I can teach you from the ground up. I specialized in classical music but I can also help you to play and learn your favorite songs.
I find it very important to connect mind and body with the instrument, so I like to emphasize from the beginning on relaxation and proper postures to avoid pain or contractions later on. I like to develop a series of relaxation and stretching exercises before and at the end of each class.
I believe that music should be a source of joy and enjoyment before anything else. I don’t have a definite method, as I think I have to adapt to the needs and aptitudes of each student. I can give individual and group lessons (no more than 4 people), so I can also work with small groups.

In my experience over the past few years as a piano teacher to students of all levels and ages, I have found that people learn so much more when they are able to express themselves and have a fun time from the very first lesson.

For this reason I focus on teaching piano and music through the lens of jazz, which allows for so much freedom as well as being really educational in all different styles of music. My piano classes are structured so that students work on the most important aspects of training as a pianist and are tailored to the needs of the student. I give great importance to developing self motivation in a relaxed environment that encourages creative flow throughout the learning process. Repertoire is agreed with the student and adapted to the style of music preferred, together with student needs and objectives.
