💃 Dance is my greatest passion. Since I was 5 years old, it has been much more than just a hobby—it’s a way of life. I trained in Salsa, Bachata, and Contemporary Dance in Peru 🇵🇪 and have continued improving my skills, taking instructor courses and participating in dance groups throughout my life.

🗺️ Spanish and multicultural experiences have been key in my journey. Seeking to improve my English 🇬🇧 and learn French 🇫🇷, I moved here, where my master's program allowed me to work in multicultural teams 🤝. I learned to lead, share, and respect different cultures.

I am an Industrial Engineer graduated from Universidad Católica San Pablo in Peru, where I acquired a solid background in process management, resource optimization and organizational leadership. My interest in global trade and strategic management led me to specialize with a Master in International Business at the EU Business School in Geneva, where I gained experience in negotiation, leadership and project management in multicultural environments.

I trained at the Academia de Danza Rítmica in Arequipa, where I specialized in Salsa, Bachata and Contemporary Dance. Throughout my career, I have participated in various dance groups, perfecting my technique and obtaining certifications as a dance instructor.

I have over 8 years of experience leading multicultural teams 🌍, where I developed skills in project management and leadership in international environments 💼.

In parallel, I have over 15 years of experience in dance 💃🕺, specializing in several styles including salsa, bachata, and contemporary dance.

I have had the honor of working with several couples 💍 who got married, creating unique choreographies for their big day 🎉.

Oriental dance is a dance of Egyptian origin, which includes many styles. Originally, it was a spontaneous and improvised dance, but today it is taught academically all over the world.

It is traditionally practiced by women, who express by this art their femininity, their vitality, but also their feelings, joys and sorrows. In general, this dance is characterized by the dissociation of the parts of the body (isolations) that can move independently of one another. Oriental dance is as good with jerky rhythms as slow and fluid.

Bellydance is not limited to movements of the pelvis: it solicits flexibility and tonicity of the bust, shoulders, arms, hands, pelvis and belly. It helps tone the thighs, relax the joints, develop the abdominals and maintain the back. Most of the work resides in the muscular contraction, this dance can be practiced at any age, in the respect of the limits of each dancer or dancer.

The course begins with a joint and muscle warm-up, followed by technical work. The basic movements are then integrated into sequences that allow you to move in space and experience the pleasure of dancing, before ending with a session of relaxation.

Having experienced first-hand the power of dance to shape people’s perspectives, I am enthusiastic about using my professional experiences, skills, and beliefs to educate new young dancers in the techniques, movements, and experiences of dance. I am also just as enthusiastic to share that beauty and power with the community, with recreational adult classes as well.

About how I teach, and why I started; I was looking for dance that was fun, liberating, and yet artistically challenging, all at the same time; I craved something that brought and demanded a more humane experience inside of the studio. My interest at the moment is to use our human experiences and bodies as they are. I’m not so interested in trying to force them into something else, but to allow that freedom to take us to whatever imaginary or fantastical place where dance should be able to take us. I believe my obligation as a dance teacher is to encourage students to have fun when dancing. It’s something that’s forgotten a lot as a budding artist, but one of the most important things for perseverance in this field.

I believe that if the curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment is there, the technique will come as well because there’s a mutual belief, from both the teacher and student, in oneself. Of course to learn a variety of dance styles, be technically proficient, and pursue a personal creative expression is important, but having an experience with a group of people and letting go into imagination while allowing yourself to have fun will push a dancer even further in their artistry, I believe. To be able to be given images, sensations, feelings, etc. and have the awareness to translate them into some form of movement is an important skill as an artist and human being
