Logic Pro is a powerful but complex software tool that can be used to create everything from very basic recordings and compositions, to huge professional productions. You'll learn all the skills you need to set up and use Logic Pro; how to record and edit audio, use software instruments and plug-in effects, and how to mix and process your sounds. Lessons can either be conducted online, or at my studio, if you're local to Plymouth (it's not in a restaurant, I don't know why it says that!) I've been using Logic Pro for almost 25 years and have taught it at University level.

I’m a sound engineer, music producer, and DJ with a degree from Point Blank Music School (London) and more hours logged at Le Zéro Studio in Brussels than I care to admit. I’ve produced, mixed, and mastered across genres — from rap to electronic to “what the hell is this but it slaps.” I'm also working on my solo project, if you want to check the proof in the pudding ("imyraj" on all platforms). I can provide an introduction to making beats, soundscapes, field recording, and general listening recommendations or help aspiring producers with tracks. I'm experienced in Digital Audio Workstations such as Ableton Live (I run Ableton 11), Audacity, and Koala Sampler and have experience teaching beatmaking classes for beginners and intermediate students. For beginner students, we will start with inexpensive DAWS and talk about what kind of electronic music best suits their purpose. I will also provide listening and historical examples that can provide inspiration for production.

I am a singer/songwriter and freelance session vocalist by trade. My lessons focus on creating music rather than simply doing cover songs, although I can help you learn cover songs as well. I began my musical learning journey at the age of 16 with classical singing lessons. I quickly moved on to more contemporary styles of music. Between the ages of 17 and 18, I was lucky enough to be selected for the X Factor television show in France. Following the show, I learned to write my own music and have been writing ever since. My main goal with teaching is to instill a love and appreciation for music and to guide people in creating their own music.
