Hi there,

My name is Luca. I am a business student, entrepreneur, and language teacher living in Amsterdam. My love for teaching was passed on by my mother that has spent all of her life teaching English to foreigners in Spain, Switzerland, and Brazil. My first experience in teaching was giving private classes in Brazil, where I helped other students with French, English, Portuguese and Italian. Also, in 2016 I was a volunteer English teacher in Namibia.

My style of teaching is not very academic, my lessons are casual as I focus on teaching how to speak like a native.

- tutor academic subjects in German and/or English
- help develop general study skills

This class is for everyone who wants to improve his/her English and German skills. I do not specifically specialise on tutoring for specific exams (I can obviously do that as well) but I want to offer a class that is customised to the students needs. I always try to teach in a fun and engaging manner with real-life context. People learn best by having a positive attitude towards a subject, therefore, I see it as important to establish a positive rapport with my students and spark their interest in the English and German language.

Due to my broad experience and high general level of knowledge, in addition to pedagogical / didactic support, I can also provide extra lessons in all alpha subjects of secondary education and guidance of students in the preparation of
exams and writing theses.

To start we will first talk about your experience and current skill level and then look at where you could improve on. We will discuss which areas you want to focus on, where I can prepare materials for you to get you more secure in speaking and writing the language depending on what your goal is!
I will then personally create and structure the lessons for you and help you wherever possible :)

Some sort of Homework or exercise will be introduced but of course in a fun way. If you want to focus on writing I can give you practice writing exercises and we can go over these together!

I myself have had to learn many languages while living in many countries, and I understand how difficult this can be.
As a tutor with four years of experience, I am here to help you!

With English being a world language it has become an integral part of our society, especially in work and study related areas. Taking on English lessons with me will help you prepare for any language obstacles you have had up until now. My teaching methods vary from client to client and depend on their current language skills; writing essay type reports for school, reading and understanding the book all your friends talk about, or just to be able to have a fluent conversation, whatever the problem we can work through it together.

I immerse myself in the material that a student has difficulty with, in this case a language and/or a math problem. It is true that I am currently guiding a girl from secondary education with beginners French and German.
But the majority of my tutoring children come from groups 6, 7 and 8 of primary school.
