FULL SUMMER CAMP Format June 10th - July 26th.
Consistent DAILY 30 mins every day instruction for tangible accelerated results before the new school year starts.
DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION: Giving students the differentiated instruction required to close their skills gaps quickly.
SUPPORT FOR HIGHER GRADES: Support for Every grade effective up through fifth grade, giving a safe space for older students to build reading competence and shore up foundational reading skills.
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL IMPACT: Through Daily one-to-one sessions student's confidence soar, not only boosting their reading skills, but improving behavior throughout the day. Please refer to the Course Syllabus below for more on what to expect in sessions.
K-2 GRADE LEVELS COURSE:
WEEK ONE: Assessment, Placement and Introduction Activities.
WEEK TWO: Basic Alphabet Knowledge, Using Letter Sounds and Using Letter Patterns
WEEK THREE: Beginner Fluency Skills with Blends and Digraphs, and R-Controlled Vowels.
WEEK FOUR: Vowel-Consonant-e, and Vowel Teams.
3-5 GRADE LEVELS COURSE:
WEEK ONE: Assessment, Placement and Introduction Activities.
WEEK TWO: Beginner Multisyllabic Decoding.
WEEK THREE: Intermediate Multisyllabic Decoding.
WEEK FOUR: Advanced Multisyllabic Decoding.

Hello Apprentus students and families!
My name is Nora and most of my students call me Miss Lou or Coach Lou. I’m so excited to be joining Apprentus as a Life Success Coach and Reading Interventionist.
I am a Certified I am a Life and Career Success Coach, as well as a Certified Best-in-Class Reading Specialist with over 1500 Reading Tutoring sessions delivered so far. My experience of over 15 years working in Education with children and young adults, hands-on in Schools, Youth Sports Organizations, and Consulting directly with Families gave me real-life, diverse experience, in what I need to focus on in my work with Young People.
It all started from serving as a K-12 Special Education Teacher, Behavior and Reading Specialist in a school district setting in Florida, to Co-Founding an Individualized Instruction Non-Profit K-8 School Program in the heart of San Francisco for struggling students, to Directing and Launching the Online Programs at a K-12 Computer Science Education Company in Seattle. For the last 3 years, and forward, I have been a dedicated Life & Career Success Coach and Reading Specialist/Interventionist for Young People (Ages 5-18) online and in-person.
I am so passionate about building fun and creative lessons that are proactive in their approach for Young People and are of high quality, evidence-based, and most importantly deliver lasting RESULTS.
Young People of today feel under-equipped to handle the difficult choices, obstacles, and possibilities they encounter on daily basis during this crucial time in their lives. My main purpose is to EMPOWER as many Young People as possible, and help them become the best versions of themselves to achieve their Personal, Education, and Professional goals. My teaching philosophy stems from my belief that Success, like Happiness, comes from WITHIN not from WITHOUT! I am excited about hosting my 2 Popular Classes on Apprentus. My Personalized Accelerating Reading Fluency Class K-5 grades that targets empowering children to READ FLUENTLY, and when they READ FLUENTLY they LEARN, COMMUNICATE, and GROW Confidently into more healthier well beings.
Also, My Life and Career BLUEPRINT BOOTCAMP which targets helping Young People 13-18 yrs become the best versions of themselves to achieve their Personal, Education, and Professional goals.

LIFE AND CAREER SUCCESS BLUEPRINT 1-on-1 Summer Bootcamp!
This is a Certified Self Development & Career Course (Graduation Certificate will be granted at the end of the course where students build a Complete Profile for Life and Career).
Duration: 8 weeks (total of 20 hours of coaching)
June 10th - August 2nd
ONLY 30 minutes DAILY (2 Live Zoom Meetings and 3 Offline Individual work per week with daily communication)!
* Students will be certified at the end of the course (based on 8 weeks of attendance).
Life and Career SUCCESS BLUEPRINT:
Young People of today feel under-equipped to handle the difficult choices, obstacles, and possibilities they encounter on daily basis during this crucial time in their lives.
The main MIND Challenges the young person may struggle with include: Fear of Failure - Performance Anxiety - Perfectionism - Social Approval - Outcome-Oriented Thinking - Negative Self-Talk - Low Confidence.
Establishing a DAILY routine is essential to overcome these challenges while simultaneously building a stronger mind. That is why MIND Training matters. There are many positive benefits you can expect from only 15 minutes of Coaching per Day, including: - Increased Confidence - Enhanced Thought Management - Reduced Anxiety - Stronger Focus - Greater Resilience - Positive Self Talk - Self Management - Increased Motivation - Stronger Mental Toughness - Greater Enjoyment.
In this 8 weeks Self Development Course, Young People (13-21 yrs old) will learn how to reach their full potential and lead meaningful lives that reflect their own unique strengths, gifts and skills. They will learn how to achieve RESULTS for LIFE and CAREER READINESS. This proactive approach focuses on building the Positive MIND Characteristics the young person needs. In other words, work on proactively strengthening and empowering the mind. It is designed for ALL Young People to participate, from Young Athletes, Creatives, Gifted, Exceptional, Talented, Academic Achievers, to any Young Person who desires to work on and sharpen their Mind and Character skills to achieve their goals.
Lessons are highly Engaging and Activity Rich for Young People:
1. Will help you understand 'Who you are' and become the best versions of yourself to achieve your Personal, Education, and Professional goals.
2. Will learn how to utilize effective Thought Management and to enhance your own Wellbeing and Performance in areas of Study, Emotional Health, Friendships, Family Relationships, Financial Health, Physical Health, Home Environment, and Career.
3. Assist to connect with your Strengths and discover your purpose and passion for Life and Work.
4. Assist to prepare your own SUCCESS BLUEPRINT for Life and Career.
WEEK 1: INTRODUCTION to LIFE Coaching. Imagine POSSIBILITIES for your life. How would you love your life to be?
WEEK 2: Become ORGANIZED. What is your plan to get there? Develop WILLPOWER. Do you have the motivation?
WEEK 3: Build EMOTIONAL Skills. Use of the Emotional Intelligence (E.Q). What skills will you need to be successful? + STEP 5. Achieve RESULTS. What action will you take from today?

WEEK 6: Develop WILLPOWER. Assist them to weigh up the costs and benefits of achieving their goals in order to assess their level of motivation and promote commitment.
WEEK 7: Build EMOTIONAL SKILLS. Young people will learn the importance of “CAN DO” and “CAN’T DO” attitudes and will identify their support team for the future.
