Hello, my education includes Undergrad degree with Jazz Guitar from New Bulgarian University (Sofia, Bulgaria) and Masters degree with Jazz Guitar from Queens College (New York City). I teach guitar for more than 15 years, mostly in the styles blues, rock, pop, acoustic, bossa nova, swing, jazz. Also, I teach Music Theory, Improvisation, Harmony, Rhythm and Ear Training. Everything that you may need in your music adventures! Beginners and Advanced students - Welcome to the journey! :)

The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.

· Falsetas: Short, pre-composed solo phrases. We break them down phrase by phrase, then learn to link them together.
· Accompaniment: Introduction to accompanying flamenco cante (singing) and baile (dance) – chord progressions, capo placement, and staying locked in with the singer.

3.⁠ ⁠Music Theory Applied to the Fretboard

· Harmonic analysis of the music you are playing.
· The difference between major/minor and the Andalusian cadence (Phrygian mode).
