The Brazilian clarinetist began her musical education at the age of 12 with Maestro Francisco Guimarães at the "Banda de Música 12 de Março" in her hometown Belo Horizonte. Following her undergraduate studies at the University of São Paulo, the 26-year-old musician is studying for a master's degree at the University de in the class of François Benda. She is supported by the Ad Infinitum Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Lucia Loeser Foundation and the Instituto Elga Marte. From September Ariane begins her musical career at the Music Academy Basel, also in the class of Professor François Benda.

In 2015 she reached the first place at the Brazilian competition for clarinetists Devon & Burgani. Twice she won both the Ernani de Almeida Machado Prize and the Young Solists Competition of the São Paulo Youth Orchestra. In addition, the clarinetist was honored with an award in the Eleazar de Carvalho Prize and received a gold medal at the 1st Vienna International Music Competition.

Internationally, the musician has gained extensive experience in orchestral and chamber music, especially in Brazil and Europe. She was a member of the São Paulo Youth Symphony Orchestra and plays as a guest musician with the Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the Berliner Symphoniker. She can also be heard in the ensemble Ilinx, the Orpheus Ensemble Berlin, the Bratuga Quintets and the Duo Caju.

My teaching method is based on dynamism and interactivity. My first objective is to ensure rich sessions during which I share my knowledge in a clear and easy to understand way. With a relevant lesson structure, I want students to understand the information that I transmit to them fluently. The teaching program is focused on modern kanun (playing technique, finger movement, independence between the hands, rhythm integration, etc.), guided by kanun books to allow the student to progress and maintain a permanent follow-up.

With over 8 years of experience as a Solfege, Oriental Solfege, Oud, and Oriental singing teacher, I am a Lebanese musician currently residing in Mönchengladbach, Germany. I honed my skills for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. Prior to my relocation, I taught at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also held private music lessons. As a concertmaster, I performed with the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for over 5 years.

My move to Germany was motivated by my pursuit of graduate studies at the University of Kamp-Lintfort.

Solfege, the foundation of music theory, is an essential tool for any musician who wishes to understand and create music. It provides a way to identify and communicate notes, intervals, and rhythms, and it is the key to developing musical literacy.

In this class, you will delve into the world of scales, exploring the unique characteristics of Western and Oriental scales. We will study the following scales:

Rast, Bayet, Siga, Kord, Hijaz, Ajam, Nahawand- Major & Minor Scales. In addition to these Western and Oriental scales, we will also introduce you to the quarter note, which is not traditionally found in Western music. It is a quarter note with a unique and distinct sound.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced musician, this class will provide you with the knowledge you need to use scales effectively for improvisation, singing, and playing any instrument.

With this knowledge, you will be able to:

* Read and write music (dictation) in solfège notation for both Western and Oriental scales.

* Identify and communicate notes accurately in the context of various musical traditions.

* Develop a deeper understanding of music theory and rhythmic concepts.

We will use the book "المقامات الشرقية by Georges Farah" as the main reference for our study of Oriental solfège. This book is considered the best book in the Middle East to teach Oriental Solfège.

Professeur expérimenté de Oud et de chant arabe oriental depuis plus de 11 ans, je suis Libanais et je réside actuellement en Allemagne. J’ai étudié pendant 8 ans au Conservatoire National Libanais. J’ai enseigné à l’Académie Casa Beethoven au Liban et donné des cours particuliers. De plus, j’ai été chef d’orchestre de l’orchestre oriental Loubnan Assalam pendant plus de 5 ans.

Ma recommandation pour apprendre le Oud est de commencer par l’étude des notes et de la notation musicale avant d’aborder les morceaux. Bien que certains élèves préfèrent jouer directement des chansons, comprendre les bases de la notation musicale permet de progresser plus rapidement sur le long terme. Avec de la détermination et du travail, des progrès significatifs peuvent être réalisés en un an, permettant de jouer des mélodies simples.
