Soy profesora de violín y piano con más de 15 años de experiencia. Comencé a la edad de 7 años con el violín y a los 9 años con el piano.
Terminé la carrera de Música y he sido profesora de Universidades como la Universidad del Atlántico en Barranquilla e Instituto de Artes y Ciencias de Bolívar en Cartagena, ambas en Colombia. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student.

My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

Alles wordt stap voor stap uitgelegd en gaandeweg leer je noten lezen en piano leren kennen.

Me llamo Daniela y soy una violista costarricense que se especializa en música crossover. Me mudé a los Países Bajos en 2020 para cursar mis estudios en el Conservatorio Codarts de Róterdam, donde me gradué con una licenciatura en Música Clásica (Viola). Actualmente, sigo mi trayectoria en Codarts con una maestría en Música Latina.

Durante mi estancia en los Países Bajos, he formado parte de una amplia gama de proyectos musicales de diferentes géneros, desde orquestas clásicas y música de cámara hasta colaboraciones con pop, jazz y músicas del mundo. He actuado con conjuntos como Jong Metropole y grabado con varias bandas de pop, jazz y fusión. También soy el líder de mi propio proyecto latino, La Reunión, y trabajo como músico independiente con diversos grupos musicales.

Antes de mudarme a los Países Bajos, estudié Educación Musical en la Universidad de Costa Rica y trabajé varios años como profesora particular. Tengo experiencia enseñando violín y viola tanto a niños como a adultos.
