In addition I always give learners homework or assignments after every lesson. This helps in reinforcing the lesson and equally enable me to keep track and monitor the learning progress.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.

I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years.
