Ik ben Juli, eigenaar van een Chinese taalschool met twee vestigingen, die ik al 13 jaar met volledige toewijding run. Met 16 jaar onderwijservaring heb ik honderden studenten begeleid, van basisschoolleerlingen tot universitaire studenten en volwassenen.
Spreken staat centraal vanaf dag 1. In een veilige, geduldige omgeving durf je te praten, fouten te maken en écht vooruitgang te boeken.
Het student-centraal model staat bij mij voorop: het tempo en de lesmethode worden volledig aangepast aan jouw behoeften en leersnelheid.
Wat veel mensen vaak verkeerd doen, is te veel focussen op grammatica en het spreekaspect van de taal volledig verwaarlozen. Veel leerlingen doen er enkele jaren over voordat ze beginnen met spreken. Dat gebeurt niet in mijn lessen. Spreken is de sleutel tot het leren en zal bij ons de eerste prioriteit hebben. Ik geef les met geduld en toewijding, want voor mij is lesgeven nooit een baan geweest, het is mijn levensdoel en ik vervul dat met de grootste toewijding.
Wat mijn lessen echt bijzonder maakt, is dat je via de taal en de karakters ook China zelf leert kennen. Je leert niet alleen woorden en zinnen, maar reist ook door de geschiedenis van ons land, ontdekt de schoonheid van de Chinese cultuur. Taal en land zijn onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden, en dat maak ik zichtbaar en voelbaar in elke les.
Lessen worden gegeven in het Engels. Ze zijn online 1-op-1 of in kleine groepjes.

Über mich

I have been a teacher my entire life. I ran a language school in China for 13 years, and we taught more than 500 students. I have opened two branches where young students, adults, and seniors receive lessons.
My students have achieved great academic success thanks to the efficiency of the teaching method I have designed. I find it very important to focus on each individual and to adapt the lessons to his or her needs and learning style. I focus on speaking, because Chinese is a living language – and it must be spoken from day one.
My students start speaking from day one. I make sure they feel confident and safe to make mistakes, because mistakes are the key to learning :-)

A little about myself:
I am a very sporty person. I love road cycling, swimming, and traveling. One of my fondest memories is cycling 124 kilometers in one day around Lake Er in Yunnan province. I really loved it :-)
I have traveled to 11 foreign countries on 3 different continents. Traveling is my passion. I also enjoy reading and learning more about other cultures.

Ik ben opgegroeid en heb een opleiding gevolgd in China. Ik ben in november 2019 naar Europa verhuisd om Chinees te leren.
Ik ben leuk, actief, erg geduldig en verantwoordelijk. Ik ben al meer dan 10 jaar nooit te laat gekomen in al mijn lessen.
Voor kinderlessen bereid ik liedjes, video's, tekenfilms voor, lesgeven en uitleggen tegelijkertijd. I'm a Confucius Institute (the ONLY globally recognized official institution for teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages) certified Mandarin teacher.

I'm also an official YCT (Youth Chinese Test)/ HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)/ HSKK (Chinese Proficiency Spoken Test) test examiner.

In addition to giving private lessons, I also teach Chinese at international schools and lead Mandarin immersion Spielgruppe (playgroup) in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. My speciality is teaching children between the age of 2.5 and 12 in an immersive and interactive learning environment. By means of guided game-playing, painting, story-reading, drama activities, song-singing, dancing, and handcraft-making, kids achieve organic language acquisition while having a lot of fun.

The predominant features you will find in my class are tailor-made teaching materials and methods that are customized to best suit your specific study objectives (Preschooler Chinese, K-12 Chinese, YCT, HSK, Beginner Chinese, Conversational Chinese, Business Chinese...etc.).
