Parametric Design for Digital Fabrication (Grasshopper)

This online course focuses on using Grasshopper for digital fabrication. I’ve taught it twice before, but this time it’s also available in English.

If you're interested in digital fabrication, the first step is learning how to design or rationalise your design, with fabrication in mind.

The course begins with the basics of Grasshopper and then progresses to designing various structures using different digital fabrication methods.

My name is Abdi and i have been teaching interior architecture and general design lessons for several of years. I have graduated from University of Westminster (Interior Architecture - 1st Class Honours) in 2013. I am comfortable teaching College and University students as well as adults looking to enter the interior design profession. I understand as creative individuals, we all process information differently, therefore my teaching methods will be tailored to your requirements. The lessons time slots will also be scheduled around your availability.

I am comfortable with the follow softwares:
- Vectorworks
- Photoshop
- Indesign

I am an architect and I like to teach from time to time. You can get help from me for your project.
I teach based on what you need. We work together on your project. This way you learn the program efficiently and in a short period of time.

My tutoring in Dutch, English and Architecture focuses on personal attention. I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my approach to your needs and learning style. Together we determine your goals and work towards success step by step, whether it is improving your language skills, preparing for a test, or taking your creativity in architecture to the next level.

In language subjects such as Dutch and English, I focus on strengthening grammar, vocabulary and writing skills. Through interactive exercises, reading assignments and conversations, I not only help you with school assignments, but also with developing self-confidence in speaking and writing. In English, I can pay extra attention to pronunciation and listening skills, so that you also become stronger orally.

For architecture I focus on developing your creative and technical thinking. We work together on drawings, design methods and understanding construction engineering principles. You will learn how to present your designs effectively, both visually and verbally, and get practical tips to take your projects to the next level.

I offer a learning environment that is both motivating and challenging. With patience, clear explanations and a lot of attention to your progress, I ensure that you achieve your goals and can continue with confidence. Together we make learning fun and effective!

My name is Wael and I have been teaching architecture and general design classes for several years. I graduated from the University of Syria (Architecture) in 2015. I feel comfortable teaching college and university students as well as adults who want to enter the interior design profession. I understand that as creative individuals we all process information differently, therefore my teaching methods will be tailored to your requirements. Class times will also be scheduled around your availability.

Regardless of your experience, I believe I can teach you Revit to accomplish what you need. My typical class is usually between 1-2 hours long. I have been teaching this software since 2013. I still use this software during my design projects. I teach students to adults who are looking to get into the interior design and architecture industry.

- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

I have academic teaching experience from the TU Eindhoven, where I graduated in architecture. I can teach you how to construct perspective, make concept sketches, but also how to overcome a creative block by working with the non-dominant (creative) part of your brain. My goal is to share my knowledge and passion for drawing while supporting you on your own creative path. I will focus on what feels natural for your growth. Individual approach is key to my method.
