This class is designed to teach you the path to becoming a master artist or to study art history through active study so you know what it feels like to work in the styles of different artists. In this class we will figure out what art you love and what you want to learn to do. Then I will teach you the process of artist studies, sketchbook research and practices, and we will build you a portfolio of works along the way.

I am a teaching artist who also works with technology. I have taught art, art history, making and engineering, 3D printing, English, and also creative writing. I love creative work. I love art and I love the sciences. More than anything else, I love finding connections between different disciplines, people, and ideas. AP and IB portfolios are my specialty.

I have worked in some of the toughest schools and some of the most privileged schools. Crossing these boundaries in the US and Asia, I find people need the same everywhere, a partner and coach to explore ideas and to build a plan and portfolio for moving forwards. Let's face it, everything is more fun with enthusiasm, focus, and some laughter to make the difficult work more fun.

I did half of an MFA Poetry at George Mason University but left to work at The Smithsonian in their museum education programs.
Master's Degree at Concordia University-Portland Campus in Education Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on e-learning.

I began teaching Art in 1999, grades 5-8 in Philadelphia. I taught in Chicago from 2002-2012 mostly teaching art and art history to grades 6-12. I then took my technology degree and ran maker spaces in schools teaching 3D printing, design, digital fabrication, and innovation.

Since moving to Hong Kong in 2019, I have been teaching a little of everything, mostly as a tutor. My specialty is making learning fun and building portfolios and creative projects using multiple disciplines. Whether you want to build an art portfolio to get into a US or UK art school, build an inventor's portfolio for boarding school, or start your own company before you leave high school or gymnasium, I have the experience and energy to help you create your own success! I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Are you willing to learn drawing or painting? Do you wish to improve what you already know?

I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

The topics change from lesson to lesson and can range from the human body to the landscape to the wildlife, depending on your preferences and desires.

Particular attention is paid to the method so that the finished work is clean, pleasant and as expressive as possible.

Nice to meet you, I'm Daniel. I'm a (private) art teacher, I'm also a freelance artist and have been working as one for about 7 years. I'm looking for students in Utrecht, I have a teaching space available in my apartment (I can share my address when you contact me), but am also able to travel to your desired space within the city.
I can also teach via webcam, but I do recommend my in-person classes, seeing as they're more immersive and educational.

I unfortunately do not speak Dutch (yet), but am confident we can overcome any potential language barrier we come across.

I have the most experience in teaching teenagers and preteens, so I think we would definitely be a good match if you're a parent or guardian looking for a teacher for your child.

Como dibujante independiente, mi propósito trasciende la técnica para convertirme en un facilitador de tu mundo interior, guiándote en el proceso de transformar emociones abstractas en trazos tangibles que capturen la verdadera esencia de lo que sientes. Más que enseñarte a replicar formas, te proporcionaré las herramientas creativas necesarias para que utilices el dibujo como un lenguaje personal y liberador, donde cada línea y sombreado actúen como una extensión de tu sensibilidad. A través de la danza, te enseñaré a escuchar el ritmo de tu propio cuerpo para que logres desahogar tus emociones sin juicios, transformando el agotamiento mental en energía física renovada y bienestar emocional.
