My name is Zé and I'm here to teach you my native language (and a couple more)!
I am a polyglot who speaks four languages (currently learning my fifth one, Japanese), so I know the struggles of learning a new language from scratch and I know how to make your language-learning journey a much smoother experience.
Most teachers will tell you that the only secret to learning a language is hard work. Although hard work plays a big role, learning through immersion and knowing the right shortcuts is what makes all that hard work worth it. And that's exactly where I come in. I have learned languages academically, but I also learned some through self-learning, so I know how to balance both approaches.
I can adapt our lessons to be more structured or more flexible depending on your desires and needs. Lessons can be general or focused on specific topics, depending on the client.

I'm a Portuguese writer, translator, and filmmaker.
Currently based in Portugal, a former resident of Peru, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. I'm working hard in order to move to Tokyo next year and study my fifth language.

Bachelor's degree in Translation (English/Spanish) from the University of Lisbon;
Arts degree in Film and TV from the Universidade Lusófona;
Post-grad in Screenwriting.

I have written multiple audiovisual screenplays, for film, publicity and television.
Taught English in Brazil and Peru for over three years; taught Spanish and Portuguese in the Netherlands for a year.
