My name is Patricia; originally from the US (San Francisco, California), I am currently based in Lisbon where I offer conversation English lessons where students will have the opportunity to use and improve their speaking and listening skills.

In these one to one lessons we will work together on proper pronunciation, articulation, tone as well as grammar and vocabulary. Each class will be designed with the particular interest of the student in mind so if there's a particular goal you have, I will do my very best to help you work towards it - whether it's oral preparation for exams, for professional reasons or just social.

Hello, my name is Patricia; I am 28 years old, a professional dancer/freelance artist/choreographer. I have been dancing in professional settings for the past 9 years; originally from the USA (San Francisco, CA), I have been living in Lisbon for over 6 years.

Although I come from an artist/creative background I am transitioning into teaching dance classes and using my skills as a performer to work with students to improve there speaking and listening skills in English.

My profession as a dancer/performer has taught me that we are always learning and improving and practice makes perfect. Language and conversation practice is no exception to this with me you can expect to improve your pronunciation, gain a wider vocabulary, and build confidence.

Recently graduated from a master's degree in international affairs and intercultural communication, I decided to come to Lisbon for 1 year.
I offer tutoring courses in languages (Spanish - bilingual and English - fluent) and help with homework.

In my opinion, learning a new language is always an enriching experience that allows you to get closer to new cultures, people and countries. For this reason, I consider that the fundamental thing is to make the learning process fun and pleasant. It is important to know what the student's interests are when learning Spanish: if they are looking for practice in conversation, passing a language test, learning grammar, learning to communicate, increasing their vocabulary, understanding their favorite podcast... Thus, The classes will be adapted to the needs of each student. For this same reason, if it is a person fascinated by music and literature, those will be our topics of conversation. If, on the other hand, it is a child who enjoys bilingual games, I will use that to structure the classes. If you are looking for grammar, syntax and vocabulary, they will be classes more focused on exercises dedicated to these topics. In short, the main thing is to adapt to the interests of each student so that the experience is good and the language is learned naturally.
