Learn Turkish -from Native to Foreigners- With Fun ! (Physical or Online)

Hello ! My name is Sude and I have graduated from the Faculty of Law in English and I am managing my own firm. I took the IELTS exam and got 8 points out of 9. Learning and teaching languages is one of my biggest hobbies and I do it with passion in my spare time. I think teaching is a very important virtue and requires a great deal of understanding and patience. I have 3 years of experience in teaching Turkish and English.

I aim to make you enjoy learning Turkish from A1 level to the most advanced levels, both in reading, writing and speaking. You will have a general understanding of Turkish right after you start the lessons and you may find yourself having daily conversations later on! I see making mistakes as a part of the learning process and I try to correct mistakes together so that you can learn in the most efficient way. I engage in daily conversations with you specifically to advance your speaking so that together we overcome your fear of speaking!

If you have a lesson with me, I will assure you that I do not only intend to teach you Turkish, but will make a friendship with you and make you love the language more with easy learning techniques and necessary repetitions. When you start writing and speaking, you will talk about the topics you love and you will almost forget that you are in a lecture. We will make sure to practice speaking in every lesson and make sure you progress as quickly as possible. With both physical and online learning options, you will be able to follow the program that best suits your life. Remember, some things only seem difficult until you learn them!

    Selin Yağmur
Learning Turkish in fun meetings with a certified teacher
Hello, my name is Selin and I am here to give Turkish lessons as a local speaker with the methods that I determine for one's needs for learning. It will be nice to spend time together! I focus on language acquisition techniques for foreigners and refer to lectures as meeting rather than 'lecture'. I adopt an existential educational model because each individual's tendencies and interests to learn the language differ. I adopt Chomsky's language acquisition philosophy based on the idea that all languages can be acquired without an intermediary language. (Of course, English support is provided at the beginning.) 1.) Which Materials Do I Use in My Turkish Language Education? My course materials consist of textbooks in PDF format and audio materials. In addition, I am creating a lecture area on Microsoft's free application Onenote. I also prepare games such as 'taboo' as material according to the needs. In my sessions, I do many activities to help people gain speaking, reading, and listening skills at the same time. 2.) How Do The Lessons Go? I teach in person or online through the application called "Zoom". I prefer individual meetings, but sometimes I can include local speakers. I am of the opinion that learning by having fun, talking, and experiencing is the most permanent one. For this reason, it is very important for me to have fun and talk about current examples in our daily life. 3.) Where Did I Get My Language Teaching Education? From a prestigious university in Turkey (Istanbul University) I received the "Certificate of Teaching Turkish for Foreigners" in 2020. More About Me I care about getting to know new people and thus building new relationships. I like to learn, I like to teach. So, I travel to gain learning and teaching experience. I have traveled to many cities in Europe and would like to travel more in the future. I have been involved in theater and I like to speak my language in a good diction. I like to read and vocalize books. My personal interests are contemporary art and philosophy. I love artistic production (painting and collage). Maybe we'll talk about all this when we meet, huh? And you can tell me about your interests :)

Private French lessons for adults and teenagers with native French speaker in Co. Mayo
For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above. You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. This unique blend of experiences equips me with a strong and relevant teaching approach. I possess an intimate understanding of both cultures, enabling me to tailor my classes to the specific needs of my students. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. I started offering private French and English lessons to supplement my income, and I quickly discovered my passion for it. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I cherished the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and assist them in achieving their language goals. In my teaching methodology, interactivity takes center stage. I employ a variety of engaging learning tools, including photos, newspaper articles, music, videos, and more. My approach is highly adaptable, with a focus on addressing each student's unique priorities. Some seek to refine their pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, while others require assistance with presentations or speeches for school or work. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience. What you will gain from my courses extends beyond impeccable pronunciation and enhanced vocabulary and grammar. You'll also acquire a profound understanding of the culture associated with each language. When speaking a language, it's essential to appreciate the lifestyle, traditions, and heritage of the nations where it thrives. French and English are spoken as primary languages in numerous countries worldwide, each with its own unique accent and cultural nuances. The learning process is limitless! In addition to my language instruction, I'm a genealogist and host spiritual (non-religious) seminars in the beautiful West of Ireland. My passion for vegetarian and vegan cuisine adds a flavorful dimension to my life. Furthermore, I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have operated a private "Before & Afterschool" facility along with Summer Camps catering to children aged 4 to 12 for many years. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of meeting and working with you!

Mastering Passive Voice in Turkish_ Your Complete Guide
Objectives Understand the concept of passive voice in Turkish and how it differs from active voice. Learn the rules for forming passive voice sentences, including verb conjugations and subject-object relationships Practice identifying and using passive voice in Turkish through contextualized examples. Introduction (10-15 minutes) Review of Active Voice: Start the lesson by briefly reviewing the concept of active voice in Turkish, as this will serve as a comparison point for understanding passive voice. Ask students to share examples of active voice sentences in Turkish to ensure everyone's understanding. Problem-Solving Scenarios: Present two scenarios that demonstrate the need for passive voice in Turkish. For example, you could talk about a news article where the focus is on what was done rather than who did it, or about a scientific report where the emphasis is on the experiment conducted rather than the researcher who conducted it. Contextualization: Explain that passive voice is an important and widely used structure in Turkish, especially in formal contexts such as news, scientific texts, and academic papers. Emphasize that mastering passive voice will enhance students' ability to understand and produce texts in these contexts. Introduction to the Topic: Introduce the topic of the lesson, "Mastering Passive Voice in Turkish," explaining that students will learn how to form and use passive voice sentences correctly. Mention that by the end of the lesson, they will be able to identify and use passive voice in Turkish confidently. Engaging Students' Attention: To spark students' interest, share some fun facts about passive voice in Turkish. For example, you could mention that in Turkish, the agent (the doer of the action) is often omitted in passive voice sentences, which can lead to interesting ambiguities. Another curiosity is that in Turkish, passive voice can be formed with different verb conjugations, depending on the level of formality of the situation. Development (30-35 minutes) Theory: Explain the concept of passive voice in Turkish, highlighting that it is a structure that focuses on the action rather than the agent (the doer of the action). Use practical examples to illustrate the difference between active and passive voice. For example, you could say "Ali broke the window" (active voice) and then "The window was broken by Ali" (passive voice). Formation Rules: Present the rules for forming passive voice in Turkish. Emphasize that, unlike English, Turkish allows for the omission of the agent in passive voice sentences. Show how to form passive voice verbs in Turkish, including verb conjugations. Use examples to illustrate each rule. For instance, you could say "Ali broke the window" (active voice) and then "The window was broken" (passive voice, agent omitted). Examples in Context: Provide contextualized examples of passive voice in Turkish. Use texts from news, scientific articles, and academic papers to demonstrate how passive voice is used in real situations. Ask students to identify the passive voice sentences in these texts and discuss the effect of using passive voice on the clarity and emphasis of the sentence. Practice: Allow students to practice forming and using passive voice in Turkish. Provide them with a list of active voice sentences and ask them to convert them to passive voice. Correct their attempts and provide constructive feedback. You can also ask students to create their own passive voice sentences based on the examples provided. Discussion: Facilitate a classroom discussion on the use of passive voice in Turkish. Ask students to share their opinions on when and why passive voice is used in Turkish. Encourage them to think critically about the advantages and disadvantages of using passive voice compared to active voice. Feedback (10-15 minutes) Review of Concepts: Start the Feedback stage by reviewing the key concepts covered in the lesson. Recap the definition of passive voice, the rules for forming passive voice in Turkish, and the importance of using passive voice in formal contexts. Give students the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any doubts they may have. Connection to Practice: Ask students to reflect on how what they learned applies to real situations. Have them think of examples of when they would use passive voice in Turkish, whether in a news article, a scientific report, or a homework assignment. Encourage students to share their examples with the class, fostering a discussion on the practical application of passive voice. Reflection on Learning: Have students reflect on what they learned in the lesson. Ask them to write down answers to questions like: What was the most important concept I learned today? What questions do I still have? How confident do I feel about using passive voice in Turkish? What would I like to learn more about passive voice? Feedback: Finally, ask students for feedback on the lesson. Ask what they liked and what they didn't like, and if they have any suggestions for improving future lessons. Use this feedback to adjust your teaching approach and improve future lessons. Closure: End the lesson with a brief summary of what was learned. Reiterate the importance of passive voice in Turkish and encourage students to continue practicing using it. Thank students for their participation and effort, and remind them that you are available to answer any questions they may have. Conclusion (10-15 minutes) Summary of Content: Recap the key points covered in the lesson. Remind students about the definition of passive voice, the rules for forming it in Turkish, and the importance of its use in formal contexts. You can do this as a group activity, asking students to share their recollections of the content and to clarify any doubts that may arise. Connection to Practice: Reiterate how passive voice is applied in real situations. Recall the examples discussed during the lesson and ask students to share their own examples of when they would use passive voice in Turkish. This will help reinforce the relevance and importance of the content learned. Supplementary Materials: Suggest additional resources for students who wish to deepen their understanding of passive voice in Turkish. This could include online videos, websites, textbooks, and language learning apps. Encourage students to explore these resources at their own pace and to bring any questions or insights they may have to future lessons. Feedback: Ask students for feedback on the lesson. Request their opinions on what they found most useful, what they would like to see more of, and if there are any areas they found particularly challenging. Use this feedback to adjust your teaching approach and improve future lessons. Closure: Conclude the lesson by reiterating the importance of passive voice in Turkish and encouraging students to continue practicing using it. Thank them for their participation and effort, and remind them that you are available to answer any questions they may have.

I now live in the Netherlands, where I teach both French and English to students of all ages and levels, with a personalized and friendly approach. 🧠 Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for an exam, moving to a French-speaking country, or simply passionate about the language and culture—I’ll adapt our lessons to suit your needs, goals, and interests. 📚 I also offer lessons in legal French, perfect for law students, professionals, or anyone working with French legal terminology. 🎨 I believe language learning should be engaging and enjoyable. I like to incorporate cultural elements, pop culture, current events, and interactive conversation practice to bring the language to life. 🐾 On a more personal note, I live with my dog Rookie and cat Gus, and I love culture, lively conversations, discovering new things, and exchanging ideas. Whether you’re looking for structured learning or casual conversation, I’d love to help you reach your French goals in a supportive and dynamic environment. Let’s start this journey together—à très bientôt !
