I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes.

I know a fairly wide repertoire of music and master the basics of music theory or what we could call the musical 'theory' of the guitar. If certain pupils are interested in learning by an equally theoretical route, the teaching will be adapted accordingly. But if you prefer to learn the songs as they are, there is no problem, we will go straight to the point!

The course is intended for beginners or false beginners, with as primary objectives the development of position, ear, groove and music theory (if desired, not required) through the analysis of musical pieces of all styles ( at the student's choice + some indispensable ones) and progressive and fun exercises. I am currently a student in the second year of a piano bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Before my integration into the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I studied at the Departmental Conservatory of Roubaix, where I obtained a DNOP (National Diploma of Professional Orientation) in piano. This diploma gave me a lot of knowledge, theoretical (third cycle of musical training, writing, analysis) and practical (vocal and instrumental accompaniment). The courses I offer are aimed at all levels and ages, as well as students enrolled in music school / conservatory or not. Composer and experienced piano teacher David is offering piano lessons for all ages, - particularly interested in new adult students. Complete beginners through to advanced. With over 10 years teaching experience, David's lessons can be tailored to all objectives – with a focus on imparting an understanding of music as a deep language, and on developing a sensitive and powerful technique. In addition to classical piano and, music theory, David can also help you with songwriting and composing if you with to explore your creative talents. Also offering music theory lessons (beginners to intermediate) and music appreciation classes. Majority of sheet music included in the class price. Lessons take place at my place in Ixelles. These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.
