Music improves so many factors of life. it builds our desire to be patient and driven, and grows the beautiful creative sides of our minds and hearts. To many, it is a desired field of excellence in which they want to create careers, and for others it serves as an escape to be free.
I love teaching and showing intrigued and motivated learners more about the musical world and am glad to help explore the technical and musical factors of music in cello playing, piano playing and the deeper meanings of the music we love. The class is about you, what you want to become qs a musician, if you want to learn a new intrument, or just improve your playing! I will be glad to help and teach as much as I can.

I believe in teaching a person how to teach themselves, because in all honesty, we are all our own best teachers. So I di my best to teach through kindness and motivation, and have no time for becoming a dictator of how to play music. Music is for us all to enjoy and therefore it is vitally important to me to teach in a way that I can give you the drive and excitement of music, more than just the technical means of playing an instrument. I firmly believe that learning music is a path to discovering our optimal selves. This is a way that we discover our limits and express ourselves freely. How to do this, is what I teach.
Formación
I am studying at the Hochschule für Musik Bremen, and was also a studnet at Helpmekaar Kollege in South Africa. GPA of 4.08. I had private lessons with the Orinciple Cellist of JPO and masterclasses with world renowned musicians such as Benjamin Zander, Maria Kliegel, Gary Hoffman and recently studied under Alexander Baillie.
Experiencia / Calificaciones
I have played in the JYO, JPO, JSO, RSO, GCMF, and recently Neue Philharmonie Hamburg orchestras. I have appeared as a soloist with the JYO, JPO, RSO (Prime South aafrican orchestras). I have won the National Eistedfodd Academy Competition, the Yamaha Music Competition in Johannesburg, The Philip H Moore competition and have received honouree rewards in the Nationa UnISA and Young Musicians Competitions. I have a Grade 8 and higher qualification in cello and a corresponding theory grade.
