Whether you are a complete beginner and want to start on your musical journey or looking to refine your playing and take it to the next level, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow with confidence. I offer one-to-one violin lessons for all ages and skill levels with a supportive and structured approach. I am highly adaptable to any of your goals and desires, whether it’s to make your first steps in violin playing, develop a general understanding of musical language, prepare for a certain grade exam or just play for fun. My aim is to make learning enjoyable and share the love for music with my students. My lessons are carefully designed to suit everyone. It usually consists of the foundation of the violin technique, a wide range of repertoire, carefully selected for every individual, historical context of the compositions, music theory and aural skills, however, it depends greatly on the goal of each student and can differ in each case. I have been teaching for over three years, both in person and online, with students’ ages ranging from 4 to 48 years old, and enjoyed helping them move towards their dream, whether it is to be able to play a tune from their favourite song, or a classical concerto. The lessons should be fun and joyful - bring excitement, inspiration and encouragement for achievements! In my teaching, that is what I believe in and strive for. Hello!

My name is Julia, and I am a violinist and dedicated music teacher based in London. I am currently studying music at the Royal Academy of Music, where I focus on violin performance as well as broader aspects of music such as history, analysis, and diversity in programming. Being both a performer and a student allows me to bring fresh, up-to-date ideas into my teaching, as well as a deep understanding of what it’s like to learn and grow as a musician.

I have experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults at different levels—from complete beginners to more advanced players preparing for exams, auditions, or performances. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and goals: some may want to build a solid foundation, while others may be more focused on developing technique, interpretation, or musicality.

As a teacher, I am patient, encouraging, and supportive. I aim to create a positive environment where students feel inspired to ask questions, explore their creativity, and build confidence. Music is not only about playing the right notes—it’s about expression, communication, and enjoyment, and I want my students to experience all of that.

I'm a London-based, classically trained violinist who loves helping people explore and expand their skills on the violin. Each student is unique and has their own strengths, weaknesses and goals, and guiding them along their path is like solving a different puzzle every time. And I love puzzles!

I tailor my teaching to the student, so in a first lesson I like to get to know you a little bit, hear about your ideas, your goals and what your relationship to the instrument is. And then we work from there.
As a freelancing concert violinist, my availabilities are subject to change. Please contact me for more information.

In-person teaching is essential for beginners, but I also offer online-teaching to more advanced students.

I am a professional musician and educator, with international experience as a Violin/Viola/
Chamber Music/Theory teacher, soloist, orchestra leader, chamber musician, and jury
member.
I have graduated in Violin at the Conservatory of Music "G.P. da Palestrina" of Cagliari-
Italy and in Viola at the Conservatory of Music "G. Verdi" of Milan-Italy.
My professional activity led me to work in several orchestras as performer, and in various
music schools as upper- string and chamber music teacher.
I lived and worked in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and since 2012 I made
London my home, where I developed further teaching experience within the British
system.
I have also founded "The Geminiani Project" of which I am
the director and the leader of the Camerata Geminiani, ensemble that has been invited to
perform in England, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Denmark, and Sweden.
At the same time I have established my ensemble, I have also launched the Geminiani
Youth Orchestra (formed by young musicians aged 6 to 17 years old) as I believe in the
importance of giving an opportunity to young players to perform together, and the
amateur ensemble Hampton Chamber Orchestra; we performed with both orchestras at
various venues in London.
Regarding my teaching technique, I believe that each student is different and unique, so
the first thing I try to do is to establish a connection, then I try to understand the major
skills and major difficulties of the student in order to develop a personalised system; I pay
much importance also to the emotional aspect the student is dealing with in order to build
passion and love for music.
I strongly believe that, once achieved a technical skill, the student must have the chance to
play with the teacher and with other students, and feel the excitement of making music
together.
I have experience in preparing students for auditions, competitions, or ABRSM/Trinity
exams with excellent results; I love what I do and I love to see my pupils achieving high
level results.
Some of my students have been awarded at international competitions, some other former
students are covering leading roles in international orchestras or in chamber ensembles.

I had the privilege of studying with world-renowned violinist Zakhar Bron, and at the age of 21, I had to completely rework my violin technique. Because I learned it later in life, I can break down the essentials and explain them in a way that’s easy to understand—something most violinists, who learned their technique as young children, often struggle to do. Together, we’ll build the foundations that will allow you to play freely, rather than feeling restricted by technique.

I’m a native French speaker and fluent in both Spanish and English. You can choose the language you’re most comfortable with, so we can focus entirely on making progress with your playing.

I’m a professional musician based in Richmond with over 20 years of experience teaching and performing. I offer private one to one lessons in piano, violin, cello, and double bass to students of all ages and all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players.

Lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s building confidence, developing solid technique, or making steady progress over time. Teaching takes place at my private studio in Richmond, with plenty of parking available. I’m fully DBS checked and have an excellent track record, with consistently strong exam results.

I look for reliable students who are able to commit to regular lessons, generally following school terms for younger students. Adult lessons can be more flexible and personalised, with a reasonable level of ongoing commitment.
