Hello! My name is Maddison and I'm an American from California looking to share my passion for the English language and cultural exchange in Amsterdam. As a native English speaker with a Bachelor's in sociology and cultural studies, I'm excited to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and help them improve their English skills.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from high school and went on to earn my Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During my time at UCSB, I developed a strong foundation in cultural studies, cross-cultural communication, and qualitative research methods. In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach.
